also known as Curley Law Firm LLP
Attorney Patrick G. Curley is an Elder Law and Asset Protection Specialist. He focuses his practice on protecting clients’ homes, savings, and independence – whether planning in advance or in a crisis.
After graduating as Valedictorian at Wakefield High School, Patrick earned his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and his law degree in 1997 from the University of Michigan Law School, among the top 10 law schools in the country.
Patrick leads Curley Law Firm LLP, one of the premier Estate Planning and Elder Law firms in Massachusetts and one of only three firms in the state that offers two Certified Elder Law Attorneys on the team. Under Patrick’s leadership, the firm has grown to include three Attorneys and four professional staff – with over 50 years of combined legal experience in Elder Law. The firm serves seniors and their families with a full range of Estate Planning and Elder Law services as well as younger families requiring Trust protection for minor children or Estate Tax planning.
Patrick is one of fewer than two dozen Certified Elder Law Attorneys* in MA. He earned this distinction by completing a process that requires years of focused Elder Law and Estate Planning practice, a full-day Bar-style Exam, extensive continuing legal education, and multiple peer references from other expert Elder Law and Estate Planning Attorneys.
Patrick was selected for inclusion in Massachusetts Super Lawyers every year since 2011. Selections are made by Super Lawyers based upon peer nominations and research, comprehensive evaluation, and further peer review within the attorney’s primary area of practice.
A member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (Mass. NAELA), Patrick helps lead this distinguished organization of more than 500 Massachusetts attorneys focused on improving the lives of seniors and disabled individuals. Patrick is a member of the leading local and national Elder Law and Estate Planning associations including National NAELA, WealthCounsel (a national organization of Trust and Estate Attorneys who design sophisticated planning techniques), and ElderCounsel (a national organization of Medicaid and Asset Protection Planning Attorneys). He frequently participates in national and local conferences with the leading attorneys in the country. Because of his recognized expertise, Patrick is a frequent speaker, writer and television commentator on Elder Law and Estate Planning topics.
Patrick proudly volunteers as Treasurer of the Accelerated Cure Project, a non-profit pushing for better treatments and a cure for Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Patrick especially enjoys his time with his wife, Erin, who is a public school teacher, and their son Alan.
*The National Elder Law Foundation (NELF) is the only national organization accredited by the American Bar Association to certify attorneys in Elder Law. NELF is a private organization, whose standards for certification are not regulated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

We have not met with Attorney Curly, and probably will not. His scheduler, Debbie, was VERY difficult to talk with and was downright rude. Attorney Curly may be excellent, but he needs to rein in his staff and teach them to respect potential clients. Very unacceptable.

Patrick Curley is simply amazing! We were in the process of applying for Mass Health for our 98 year old mom who had recently been admitted to a nursing home facility and we ran into issues with a family trust. Patrick had reviewed the trust for us a few years prior to this admission and we were ...

Patrick and the team at Curley are amazing! From my early inquiries with Debbie all the way to the finish line their assistance was always generous, thoughtful, and considerate. My 77 year old mom lives at home alone and is having health issues. With the Curley teams help we got her estate planning ...

We had a relatively complex estate issue surrounding a living trust and it was clear to see that we needed urgent help. Thankfully, we found the law office of Patrick Hurley who specializes in elder care and MassHealth Insurance. He and his team have been outstanding in the way they were able to hand...

I feel extremely fortunate that my family had the help of Patrick and the Curley Law Firm. Both he and Debbie were diligent and steadfast in their efforts to gain MassHealth assistance for my mother. Patrick was always responsive, answered our questions and I felt like our case was his top priority...
Thank you Jennifer for this very kind review. It was a pleasure working with you and your family. Best regards, Patrick
"I have known Patrick for more than 10 years and I have referred several family members and friends to him. They have all raved about his knowledge and his ability to relate to and inform them about the law and their options. I have been told that he has helped them save their homes, stay in their homes and keep money rather than paying it elsewhere. They tell me that they in turn refer their family members and friends to Patrick which is the greatest compliment of all. I endorse Patrick to anyone seeking elder law advice or help in estate planning."
"Patrick Curley serves with me on the Board of the MANAELA (https://www.massnaela.com/) and I have had the pleasure of working as a guardian ad litem on a number of his cases. Patrick is an excellent advocate for his clients and I recommend him without reservation. He is professional, timely, thorough, and has always been a pleasure to work with. I am particularly impressed by the thoughtful way that Patrick approaches problem solving, and his willingness to think outside the box for his clients. Those clients of his whom I have met all seem impressed with his services and have enjoyed working him. If you have any questions about Attorney Curley, please feel free to contact me (http://www.heidtlaw.com/)"
"I endorse this lawyer's work. Patrick is a dedicated, personable and passionate elder law attorney. His enthusiasm for his work is evident in everything he does. Patrick goes above and beyond to keep his skills above par by attending continuing education throught the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association. I would not hesitate to refer clients or family to Patrick."
"With total confidence, I refer my clients with complex estate planning needs to Patrick because he's an expert in that field. I know they'll receive practical, informed advice and excellent results. And he focuses exclusively on estate planning and MassHealth Planning--this is a rarity in our profession."
