Matthew T. Desrochers

I had a consultation with Matthew T Desrochers about a divorce. During the consultation he reported that it was "simple and Straight forward" and should cost between 3-5 thousand dollars. I agreed to move forward and he asked for a retainer of $4,500 and I paid. 1 week later with the case not be...ginning he asked me for another $3,500 for another retainer for another lawyer to work on it. I asked him a few questions and his answers were not satisfactory. Also he wanted payment via Paypal friends and family to a differant name. When I asked for my money back he went silent. My opinion is he is a crook stay away from him

I had the pleasure of working with Attorney Matthew Desrochers and his office staff last year when I was introduced to him through a real estate broker. I sought out his advice regarding a short sale and working with the bank during this process. What impressed me about Matthew and his staff is that ...they timely respond to you, whether it is by telephone or email, and that is rare (and reassuring) in today’s busy world. I know the first thing people think about attorneys that if you are not a big paying client that the attorney thinks of you as a small fish and treats you accordingly. I can unequivocally state that Matt is the EXACT opposite. I did not have a big legal matter but Matt treated me as if I was his bigg...est client. I have to admit that I am one of those clients that do want everything explained to me. Matt answered every single possible question I came up with. He ALWAYS either took my call right away or would get back to me as soon as he could if he was unable to speak to me at that moment. He communicated to me via text, email and phone. I felt he was always there for me. His bedside manner is impeccable. But dont think for a second that because Matt is great to his clients that he is a pussycat when it comes to fighting for his clients. He can be a pitbull if that is what he feels is necessary to protect your rights. In short, Matt is an attorney whom I would HIGHLY recommend. If I could give him more than the allowed 5 stars I most certainly would.

I was being sued by a collection agency for $9200. Aditionally, this agency harrassed me relentlessly over the phone but would not consider or accept ANY of my offers to settle the matter out of court. Initially, I consulted several attorneys each of whom wanted a sizable retainer before they wou...ld consider the case; not a good deal being this a small claim. I then found Matthew Desrochers. Matthew agreed to negotiate my debt and get my lawsuit dismissed from court. He charged me a flat fee based on a mutally agreed percentage of what he saved me in his negotiation. Matthew settled this account for 50% of what I owed! To top it off he negotiated the amount 10% further to compensate me for the fact that I was harrassed by this collection agency. Matthew took the guesswork out of a very stressful situation for me. I have worked with several attorneys and unlike most, Matthew was more than fair, truly cared about my situation and answered every phone call and email promptly (including on weekends)! Attorneys like Matt Desroches are VERY HARD TO COME BY. I would hire him again and would recommend him to anyone! I only wish he practiced in additional areas of expertise, although Matt has always been happy to take a look at any legal issues I may have and even follow up to see how things turned out.
