I had a consultation with Matthew T Desrochers about a divorce. During the consultation he reported that it was "simple and Straight forward" and should cost between 3-5 thousand dollars. I agreed to move forward and he asked for a retainer of $4,500 and I paid. 1 week later with the case not be...ginning he asked me for another $3,500 for another retainer for another lawyer to work on it. I asked him a few questions and his answers were not satisfactory. Also he wanted payment via Paypal friends and family to a differant name. When I asked for my money back he went silent. My opinion is he is a crook stay away from him

Unfortunately, I have had several experiences with bankruptcy in my lifetime.Life has had its challenges and with it a few incompetent attorneys and very difficult banks. After several reorganizations of our home loan this last time Bank Of America seemed unwilling to modify our loan one last time. I... was desperate and turned to Matthew Desrochers. I had seen a tutorial video he did on Facebook a while ago and it was nice to see an old classmate who I haven't seen in over 20 years had made a successful life for himself. I reached out in desperation hoping his memories of me in high school were as favorable as my own. Matt met with Sharon ad I and took over an hour during our free consultation to explain everything in detail. He listened and took what I said into careful consideration, then together we formulated a plan. 2 Months on a very fair retainer but no more than that and we will see where we are at that time. Just a few days after the 2nd moth the bank agreed to modify. They had already refused me twice and told me it was too late. (You can;t trust what the bank says). Matt got them to listen and even though they had modified the loan several times before Matt and his team got them to do it again. They even reduced the rate and my monthly payment. We couldn't be more thankful. As I said in the beginning I have used other attorneys in the past for bankruptcy issues. Matt Desrochers and his team is by far the best, and most competent and also the fairest priced. Amazing People. Thank you so much!

OMG this attorney saved me from iminemnt foreclosure. I owed a property in Peabody Mass and i lost my job. I could not pay my mortgage. I was collecting unemployment for over two years and finally finally i got a job making alot less than before. I was referred to this attorney by a friend who al...so helped him out. He was able to get my out of foreclosure. he went to my lender(bankamerica) and negotiated a lower payment that i could really afford. he then help me with credit card bills that were out of hand i could pay all my bills and expenses when I was working at my first job; but then my other job was alot less he made me feel very comfortable and was completely professional. I was being sued by a collection agency for $9200. Aditionally, this agency harrassed me relentlessly over the phone but would not consider or accept ANY of my offers to settle the matter out of court. Initially, I consulted several attorneys each of whom wanted a sizable retainer before they wou...ld consider the case; not a good deal being this a small claim. I then found Matthew Desrochers. Matthew agreed to negotiate my debt and get my lawsuit dismissed from court. He charged me a flat fee based on a mutally agreed percentage of what he saved me in his negotiation. Matthew settled this account for 50% of what I owed! To top it off he negotiated the amount 10% further to compensate me for the fact that I was harrassed by this collection agency. Matthew took the guesswork out of a very stressful situation for me. I have worked with several attorneys and unlike most, Matthew was more than fair, truly cared about my situation and answered every phone call and email promptly (including on weekends)! Attorneys like Matt Desroches are VERY HARD TO COME BY. I would hire him again and would recommend him to anyone! I only wish he practiced in additional areas of expertise, although Matt has always been happy to take a look at any legal issues I may have and even follow up to see how things turned out.
