Attorney Patrick Winn has successfully defended clients charged with crimes in district, superior and federal courts in Massachusetts. He began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Massachusetts where he appeared in court daily to prosecute felony and misdemeanor crimes. Before founding Winn Law, P.C., Attorney Winn practiced complex litigation, federal criminal defense, and state-based criminal defense for mid-sized law firms in the Greater Boston area. He has extensive experience litigating every aspect of criminal cases from arraignment to trial. Attorney Winn takes the life-long consequences that flow from criminal charges to heart and works tirelessly to assert all the rights and advantages available to his clients.

Patrick graduated cum laude from Brandeis University in 2004 with a B.A. in English and a minor in Philosophy. He received a Master’s in English Literature from Boston College as a fellow in 2009. Patrick received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2012 and was admitted to the state bars of New York and Massachusetts the same year.

Amazingly reliable litigator.
Patrick at every turn was right by my side. Telling me what I needed to know and working with me to come up with resolutions to the dockets given to him by the courts. he was friendly while at the same time having professionalism at the core. Overall an amazing help. I was given a serious challenge in life due to pure vindictive behavior and stories. Mr. Winn was able to clearly see the case for what it was and it was resolved in one of the best ways possible.

The best lawyer!
Patrick was very transparent throughout the whole case. He was very reachable and did an amazing job explaining my options. He did the unexpected in the court and got the judge to give me a miracle which was highly unlikely in my favor. Attorney Winn was extremely helpful to me. He was always available whether it be a text message, phone call, talking to my probation officer, or sending a letter to an employer. Mr. Winn was assigned by the Committee for Public Counsel Services to represent me in a sensitive legal matter. He contacted me immediately upon accepting the appointment. He assisted me in understanding the legal issues involved in my case; he described the process he would follow in assisting me; he guided me in assembling the necessary documents and organizing a presentation of the material for a hearing. Mr. Winn was always clear in explaining what I should expect from the process. One of the things I most appreciated about working with Mr. Winn is that he was always responsive to my questions or concerns. He typically responded to my emails or returned my phone calls on the same day, and never (as far as I can remember) later than the next day. He was especially effective in the hearing as he presented the material we had assembled and conveyed about me exactly what I hoped to convey. We achieved a very positive result -- even better than I had hoped for; but I can honestly say that I would have written the same review even if the result had not been positive. I knew I was well and fairly represented.
