also known as Monteforte Law P.C.
Michael Monteforte Jr. is the founding attorney of Monteforte Law, P.C., a dedicated estate planning and elder law firm based in Woburn, Massachusetts. Mike has been practicing estate planning and elder law since 2002 and has guided thousands of Massachusetts and New Hampshire families through the planning process — from first-time wills to complex MassHealth strategies protecting seven-figure estates.
Mike is licensed in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire, making Monteforte Law one of the only firms in the region equipped to serve families with assets, real estate, or loved ones on both sides of the border. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), a VA-Accredited Attorney, admitted to the U.S. Tax Court, and a three-time published author on estate and elder law topics. He has been named a Boston Magazine Top Lawyer every year from 2021 through 2025.
Monteforte Law serves families across Middlesex County, the greater Boston metro area, and southern New Hampshire — including clients in Winchester, Lexington, Andover, Burlington, Carlisle, Wilmington, Chelmsford, Bedford NH, Windham NH, Hollis NH, and surrounding communities.
The firm specializes exclusively in estate planning, elder law, MassHealth long-term care applications, special needs planning, probate, and wealth preservation. We do not handle general legal matters.
What sets Monteforte Law apart: proprietary planning tools including the 20/20 Hindsight Trust™ and Retirement Protection Trust™, a lifetime 3-Year Check-Up program for Advanced Plan clients, and a team-based model where every case is reviewed start to finish — never outsourced to software. Other attorneys in the region come to Mike for guidance on complex cases. We teach estate planning to other lawyers. If you want the firm that sets the standard, this is it.

Great lawyer who cares
I've known Michael Monteforte for about five years now. He is an excellent lawyer and more importantly, he is someone who is always trying to make his client's experiences even better. I never hesitate to send anyone needing estate planning or elder law in Massachusetts to Michael.

Client for 4 years
Unfortunately I am disappointed after 4 years of having a trust will and other estate planning documents. . They were great to work with as the office was smaller. Now they are too big and very corporate like structure. Their new policies and procedures are a bit unfair in my opinion. They want tot...
Thank you for your feedback and for your commitment to our firm over the last four years. We're sorry to hear about your concerns and welcome the opportunity to address them. We do offer a payment option that allows for 50% upfront with the remaining 50% due within 30 days. We implemented this policy after facing challenges with collecting final payments post-document completion, which unfortunately necessitated a change to ensure the sustainability of our services. While our prices have increased to reflect the market and the expertise of our dedicated team, we remain committed to providing value and competitive rates. Our firm, with over 50 years of combined experience and consisting of three attorneys and skilled support staff, delivers a personalized and expert estate planning services, not a corporate-like environment. We understand and respect that our approach may not suit everyone. If there's anything more we can assist you with or if you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
