An Intelligent and Patient Approach
Justin Kelsey and his office handled my divorce between 2011 and 2014. Due to the circumstances the divorce was a lengthy process. Throughout that process Justin remained level headed and thoughtful. By refraining from any overly emotional responses the communication remained level-headed and rationa...

Pragmatic, confident representation
I hired Justin Kelsey to facilitate a support modification. In addition to his unquestionable understanding of the law, it is his pragmatism and clear thinking that is so impressive. Justin diligently managed the negotiations; kept us out of Court; and in the end enable a result that was satisfying...

Family Lawyer
I recently used Attorney Justin Kelsey for a family court matter. From the initial free consultation on through the courtroom interactions, he was practical, straight and efficient. Attorney Kelsey knew the law, and knew what would and wouldn’t fly in the courtroom. It is easy to let emotions run ...
"Justin is an excellent collaborative attorney and mediator who is very skilled at resolving family conflicts outside of court."
"I have had the pleasure of knowing Attorney Kelsey for a few years now and know that he is practical, knowledgeable, and a demonstrated leader in family law mediation and litigation. There are a number of family law practitioners who owe Attorney Kelsey a debt of gratitude for the family law related tools & calculators he has generously provided on his website and through his application released on Apple's iOS. It is my pleasure to endorse attorney Kelsey without any reservation."
"I highly endorse Justin as an attorney. He is knowledgeable and highly skilled, and I would be confident referring clients and matters to him."
"Those of us in the family law ADR arena are very fortunate to count Justin among our ranks. He is a thought leader who works tirelessly to share his experience and insights about mediation and collaborative practice. I look forward to seeing how his contributions will help transform Massachusetts family law — both private practice and the courts — in coming years."
"Justin is an honest, reasonable and competent lawyer. He has shared his knowledge of technology with his fellow lawyers and his time with groups dedicated to better ways to move through a divorce. I endorse Justin Lee Kelsey."
"I referred a client to Justin for mediation and he was able to resolve in a few hours what had become a intractable divorce litigation. He brings skills, compassion, and common sense to the process; without hesitation, I endorse this lawyer."
"Justin is a Collaborative attorney who has brought integrity and empathy into each settlement conference which we have had together. His exceptional ability to organize, plan and work cooperatively with collaborative counsel creates an environment in which clients can really hear and understand each other in a way which promotes settlement. In the past year, I have had the opportunity to work with Justin on two divorce cases which have been resolved in a fair and amicable manner."
"I endorse this lawyer. Justin and I had worked on the opposite sides of a divorce case which settled amicably. We remained in contact. I found Justin to be a zealous and solution focused advocate. In the mediation realm, his reasonable and realistic approach to settlement puts the parties at ease and tends to bridge any gaps of contention."
"Clients represented by Attorney Kelsey should feel comfortable knowing that their attorney is at the forefront of the field of family law in Massachusetts, and will intelligently advocate for their interests. He has demonstrated the ability to excel in complex litigation matters as well as to deftly handle collaborative cases and mediations. His blog, Scaling the Summit, and mobile device applications serve as valuable resources to some of the most seasoned family law practitioners, and is a frequent speaker at divorce- and custody-related seminars."
"I endorse Attorney Kelsey with confidence. He is very knowledgeable in his areas of law and is compassionate towards his clients. I have no doubts referring people to him."
"I highly endorse this lawyer. I am very impressed with his writing, particularly with his blog in the areas of divorce and family law and bankruptcy."
"Justin Kelsey was an associate at our firm from his admission to the Bar in December 2004 until July 2008 when he left to start his own firm. During that time, I supervised him and watched his professional development with great satisfaction. Integrity, diligence and superior command of the law were the hallmarks of Justin’s service to his clients during his tenure at Stevenson & Lynch, P.C. I witnessed the way his clients uniformly responded to his attentive approach to their cases and take strength and confidence from his unflappable presence in the courtroom. His faithfulness to his clients’ cases was consistently met by their great confidence in his legal judgments. Justin has also become a decided asset to the bench and bar of the Probate & Family Court. His development of the Stevenson-Kelsey Spousal Support Calculator has contributed to his emergence as an authority in domestic relations law. I am proud to call Justin my friend and give him my unreserved recommendation."
"I have met Attorney Kelsey a number of times over the last few months. Prior to that, I have been a fan of his firm's blog on family law and bankruptcy. I am especially interested in law firm management and client relations, and am impressed with the innovative ways that Justin is reaching out to clients through the use of social media and the web. Justin and I shared many of the same thoughts on helping clients through divorce and other family law issues. I can understand how his relaxed demeanor will help put clients at ease when undergoing stressful situations. Justin and I are both divorce lawyers and mediators, but I would refer people to his firm in the future, whether for a family law issue or bankruptcy and feel very comfortable doing so."
"Prior to starting Kelsey & Trask, Attorney Kelsey was an attorney at Stevenson & Lynch. I took Attorney Kelsey's full-time spot at Stevenson & Lynch when he and Attorney Trask started their practice, and then worked with him on numerous matters as he transitioned his workload to his new firm. I am uniquely qualified to speak to Attorney Kesley's abilities, given that so many of my own cases were shaped by his earlier involvement. His abilities are, in a word, excellent. Virtually every client I have encountered at Stevenson & Lynch has raved about Justin's professionalism, temperament and clear judgment as an attorney. And in case after case, I observed that Attorney Kelsey's work placed the client's family law and/or bankruptcy case on solid footing, built on a bedrock of fundamentally sound legal work that, in turn, provided the groundwork for positive legal and real world outcomes. I would endorse Attorney Kelsey without hesitation for any client considering Kelsey & Trask."
