He got me a hardship license!

My license was revoked for 8 years for DUI. I was refused a hardship license from the Registry, after I going back twice and wasting 2 days out of work. Attorney Simoneau brought my case before the appeals board and got me a hardship license. I spoke with several lawyers and I could tell immediately ...that Attorney Simoneau knew what he was talking about and he had the skills to help me. The two other lawyers did not seem to have firm answers to my questions.

Won the appeal, but ghosted me for months & missed a critical policy.

I hired Attorney Simoneau to appeal an RMV license suspension. While we technically won the initial hearing, the experience was a nightmare due to negligence and lack of communication. 1. Communication was non-existent. Looking at my call logs, I went nearly six months at one point without being a...ble to reach him. In the last year, I was the one chasing him almost exclusively. I barely got two calls back despite multiple attempts. I was left completely in the dark, wondering if I even had representation. 2. He missed a critical RMV policy. Because of his lack of attention, he failed to anticipate the RMV’s "lookback policy" regarding my interlock device. He should have asked the judge to address this in the order. Because he didn't, the RMV overrode the judge’s decision and I was slapped with a mandatory 6-month extension. I hired a specialist to avoid exactly this kind of technical oversight. Instead, I got months of silence and a longer penalty. I cannot recommend him.

Hi Normand. I got your license fully reinstated from a 10-year license suspension. You had some personal limitations that may be interfering with your ability to clearly recollect past events. I respond to calls and emails. I live on my computer (nights, weekends, holidays, etc...) and I get back to my clients, so I'm not sure why you're saying that you had trouble communicating with me. I reviewed our email exchanges, and I saw no emails that were not answered. My response to this review at 7:53 PM on New Year's Eve is an example of my responsiveness. I didn't miss anything. You do not understand the interlock law and regulations. Removal of the IID is governed by 540 CMR 25.11, which states that you must serve 180 days with no violations or infractions before being approved for IID removal. I am a recognized expert regarding interlock devices and applicable laws. Other lawyers consult with me when they have interlock-related questions. Your perceived negative experience differs vastly from the experiences of many others. If you take a look at my Google Reviews, you'll see that I currently have a 4.9/5.0 rating and over 750 reviews, the vast majority of which are 5-star and overwhelmingly positive. I wish you the best of luck and a Happy New Year!

Doesn't take the time to understand the questions asked

Seems the respondent didn't bother to read the question, and certainly didn't answer it. Unfortunately, Avvo doesn't appear to have an appropriate rating system - you can only state that a response was "Helpful"; there is no other selection to choose, which makes me curious how this guy has a 7.7 rat...ing. The question posed regarded how to contest in inappropriate CDL ban. The guy responded with nonsense about a breathalyzer challenge. Sort of like asking your teacher if you can go to the restroom and getting the response "Friday is pizza day"

HERE FOR YOUR MONEY, NOT YOU

I am on my way to my 2nd hearing because of Brian; he failed to mention critical details that lead to the further revoking of my license. He comes off sweet but you quickly realize he is shady and a snake, for he does not act in his upmost fiduciary character, which I needed. I relied on him and he ...let me down. I just hope he helps you more than I; honestly I hope you don’t seek him out. I could have been driving to work and meeting my friends as we speak…. But Brian didn’t tell me the GOLDEN FACTS. will he tell you? Or just go for your wallet!?…. Think about it… this man only has 5 star reviews… I’m here to say he did me wrong. Hopefully that star shows.

I"m sorry that the Board of Appeal required a second hearing and that you're not happy with me. The Board required a second hearing because you did not get me the drug tests showing negative that I repeatedly requested. If you followed my instructions, you'd have your license.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
