Won the appeal, but ghosted me for months & missed a critical policy.
I hired Attorney Simoneau to appeal an RMV license suspension. While we technically won the initial hearing, the experience was a nightmare due to negligence and lack of communication. 1. Communication was non-existent. Looking at my call logs, I went nearly six months at one point without being a...
Hi Normand. I got your license fully reinstated from a 10-year license suspension. You had some personal limitations that may be interfering with your ability to clearly recollect past events. I respond to calls and emails. I live on my computer (nights, weekends, holidays, etc...) and I get back to my clients, so I'm not sure why you're saying that you had trouble communicating with me. I reviewed our email exchanges, and I saw no emails that were not answered. My response to this review at 7:53 PM on New Year's Eve is an example of my responsiveness. I didn't miss anything. You do not understand the interlock law and regulations. Removal of the IID is governed by 540 CMR 25.11, which states that you must serve 180 days with no violations or infractions before being approved for IID removal. I am a recognized expert regarding interlock devices and applicable laws. Other lawyers consult with me when they have interlock-related questions. Your perceived negative experience differs vastly from the experiences of many others. If you take a look at my Google Reviews, you'll see that I currently have a 4.9/5.0 rating and over 750 reviews, the vast majority of which are 5-star and overwhelmingly positive. I wish you the best of luck and a Happy New Year!

Did not respect me, my case or my time
Do not bother with this man if you want someone who actually cares about your case. He simply cannot communicate effectively or efficiently and he has zero empathy. After I retained him he did not get back to me in a timely fashion. He sent me a long, complicated list of requirements (medical evals, ...
Hi Alex. You drove the wrong way at the entrance of the Sumner tunnel and caused a crash, sending 4 people to the hospital. You were charged with possession of Ketamine, LSD, and Cocaine, DUI Alcohol, Negligent Operation, and multiple civil motor vehicle infractions. You took and failed a breath test. As I explained, I have a very effective 3 step process that I use to win these immediate threat cases. https://youtu.be/ueA8Q7cHjMc?si=ALoBswaaCZ7RDWlK. Effective preparation is the key to success in these cases. You should not have scheduled a hearing until we had the necessary documentary evidence to prove that you are safe to operate and should have your license reinstated. With no such evidence, you scheduled a hearing yourself. That was a mistake. I corrected your error by scheduling a new hearing for you, so that we had sufficient time to prepare. The requirements that you complain about are set by the Registry in cases such as this. Not me. After I spent considerable time and effort on your case, you decided to retain a less experienced lawyer. I retained a reasonable amount of the fee as compensation for my work. I’m really sorry that you had a negative experience with me and I wish you the best of luck with your case.

Doesn't take the time to understand the questions asked
Seems the respondent didn't bother to read the question, and certainly didn't answer it. Unfortunately, Avvo doesn't appear to have an appropriate rating system - you can only state that a response was "Helpful"; there is no other selection to choose, which makes me curious how this guy has a 7.7 rat...

Don’t Hire!!!
This lawyer should be disbarred. I hired him, and when I didn’t rehire him for the appeal, he threatened to advise the board to rule against me, and they did. He should have been arrested and disbarred for his action below also. https://www.boston25news.com/news/25-investigates-assistant-to-...
Nicholas - You hired me to represent you before the Board of Appeal in 2021 and I got your license reinstated. You didn't need to hire me for an appeal because I won your case and you got your license back. In 2023, the Registry suspended your license again and you came to me for help. Since you were a former client, I trusted you and did not require payment in advance. I spent both my time and money on your case. You ignored my calls and emails. You didn’t follow my instructions. When it came time for your hearing, you didn’t provide me with the materials that I had repeatedly requested months in advance. You told me that you were going to represent yourself. My only communication to the Board of Appeal was that I would no longer be representing you. At your BOA hearing, the Registry was represented by a lawyer and you were not. You decided to represent yourself and you apparently lost. I won the case that you hired me for. You did not hire me for the case that you lost.

Kyle: You retained me to represent you before the Registry of Motor Vehicles regarding a California DUI suspension. My engagement letter specifically informed you as follows: "In order to obtain or reinstate a Massachusetts Driver’s License, your right to operate cannot be under suspension or revocation in any other state. You must be listed as 'eligible' in the National Driver Register. I explained to you that I am not licensed to practice law in California and you need clear the NDR Block with the California DMV. I represented you at a hearing on 11/2/2022. You were listed as Not Eligible in the NDR, so we could not proceed with reinstatement. You cannot get a license in Massachusetts if you are blocked in the NDR. California had you blocked. My office is closed this week for the holidays so my receptionist is not there. I'm trying to monitor the phone and voicemail as best I can from home. As I told you before, email is the best way to reach me. I return emails very quickly. If you had emailed me I would have gotten back to you very promptly. Attorney Brian Simoneau
