I hired Barry R Lewis of Massachusetts to help me bring my divorce to an end after 6 arduous years. Barry was wonderfully informative at our 30 minute consultation. His intimate knowledge of the courts, processing times, and his decades of experience in Massachusetts Divorce was apparent and I felt n...o hesitation in selecting him as my lawyer. Once I paid my retainer, Barry made very swift progress with my paperwork, and secured a pre-trial date for me right away. Despite the other party in my divorce playing time-wasting games, Barry and Sue were able to keep us on-track, at a price my family could afford, and did not show any of the negative or unscrupulous behaviors often associated with lawyers, such as racking up unnecessary fees. On the day of court, Barry was truly a rockstar and had my case seen by the judge right away. He was swift, professional, stuck to the facts and spoke with authority on my case. I was able to walk away a free and divorced woman within 5 minutes of being up in front of the judge. I often was left asking questions that received Zero answers. I paid $2000 flat for a uncontested divorce, and our introduction seemed great.but it took a couple months to get the ball rolling and I had to be persistent on asking for my ex spouses signature. Noone cares more about your situation than... you, so Im glad I was persistent. Otherwide it was going to continue moving at a snail pace. Almost every single email that I sent with a question , was completely unanswered or given random information that was not related to said question(s). Eventually I called and after talking for 7 minutes the call dropped mid sentence, I called back 4 times and followed up with emails and had ZERO response, acknowledgement or apology for them ending the call while they were in the middle of their sentence. Ironically it was in the middle of them answers the SAME QUESTIONS that were ignored via email. I happen to video record the whole call (i had it on speaker phone with a in person witness as well) and showed to another lawyer and asked for legal advice and if they could take over for me and they offered to do so. The only hold back was by this point I had a court date already set and didnt want to start the process over let alone pay for a whole new lawyer. By the end of it I was not provided a divorce decree and was told to get it myself from the court house even though it was agreed upon to be apart of what I hired a DIVORCE lawyer for. What divorce lawyer doesn’t have their client leave with a divorce decree? How hard is it to obtain the document and mail it to the client? Not to mention the incompetence to send email without typos…he even spell his own name wrong… how frustrating. My now husband and I had to wait so long to have my divorce officially happen from my abusive ex husband and half the time waited felt like it was due to these slow responses and lack of persistence. If i could go back I would spend the extra couple thousand to get a lawyer that listens to my concerns and answers questions rather than ghosting me at times. Good riddance to the ex husband and the ridiculous process it took to get through it.

I hired Barry last minute and he was outstanding! He was very flexible with my hectic schedule and he was able to secure the legal outcome I wanted! He is a very knowledgeable and experienced attorney, and took the time to explain everything clearly. He was also extremely responsive to all of my phon...e calls and emails. I couldn’t recommend him more, really great experience!!

At first he was very nice, when I visit his office, after that’s went my case came to court he always was late, the last day of court when I want to read my rights he hit my left arm and told me that’s I don’t had to do that because he did it, I don’t know anything about it and I did what he told me ...to do. I do not recommend this lawyer .

I lived in america from 2003-2009 I have returned home to ireland and remain here since those dates for family reasons. Barry came highly recommended I had a very important lose end to tie up which barry did it very efficiently and professionally. As you can imagine doing this from another country i...s an absolute nightmare but barry was there no matter the time of the day and out of work hours I am so grateful to barry as this was an ongoing situation for a while. Barry had all my correct information back within a few days and I was able to move forward with my life.
