I was extremely happy with the way handle my case. He is very passionate about his clients and knows the law. When my wife's attorney tried to submit prejudicial evidence, Todd objected and got the evidence excluded. This was one of the most difficult experiences of my life and I am very thankful I hired Todd to help me through it.

My first lawyer was a so called "Super Layer" and this site had him ranked as a 10. I watched Todd argue for his client in court while I waited for my case to be called. Without slamming my previous lawyer - the decision to hire Todd to take over my case was the best decision of my life. Todd was well worth every penny. If you have a high asset divorce, don't even think about hiring anyone else. Thanks so much Todd!!!

After several years of being in abusive relationship, I finally worked up the courage to leave to my ex. In retaliation, he filed an Emergency Restraining Order making false allegations. This resulted in my children being removed from my care. I immediately hired Todd and within 2 weeks my children were returned to my care and restrictions was imposed upon the other party. I was terrified when the commissioner took my children away from me. Todd met with me on a regular basis, often staying late to work on my case. I do not know what I would have done without Todd. I will be forever grateful.

If you are looking for an attorney who is a brilliant strategist in the family law arena I highly recommend Todd. My case was an extremely contentious and very messy contempt case against my ex-husband (and involving my two daughters) and I felt very well represented having Todd as my attorney - the outcome of the case was in my favor. He is very bright, personable, and devoted as a lawyer and I would give him my highest rating.

Todd and I had a long talk and I promised to let the past go, so I will make this short. My daughter's mother was at the time (and probably still is now) a stripper and a drug addict. I went pro say so I got screwed by the judge. After my family loaned me some money to hire Todd, I was able to get back custody of my baby girl. Todd's fee is nothing in comparison to the consequences of having my baby follow her mother's footsteps. I should have listened to my dad and hired Todd earlier.

I went with Todd because I needed an attorney with an aggressive and savvy courtroom presence and he came highly recommended for that. What I didn't know was that my case was about to go from significant to emergency status. Thankfully in both cases, Todd was ready and able.

My case became a long, complicated and often gut-wrenching ordeal involving the safety of my daughter who had been residing in a dangerous home away from me. Todd not only knows the law but he is a brilliant strategist. Both were crucial. He has an outstanding work ethic, was a terrific coach and counselor, and acted with integrity and honesty. He creates an open environment where discussion and team work are fostered (if your case or your personality needs that sort of thing, and I did). Or, if you want him to handle it completely, you can step back and rest knowing that he will do just that. He will fight for you, as he fought for me and the best interest of my precious daughter. And he will do it with an outstanding comprehension and application of the law.

I now have permanent custody of my daughter, and she is protected by court order.

Life has a way of getting out of hand at times, and it's not worth risking a horrible outcome by going with an attorney who is mediocre or an attorney who creates liabilities. Trust me when I say that you'd rather have a guy like Todd in your corner.

Todd helped me get through a very difficult divorce. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a divorce or family law attorney.

Todd took over my case after I had agreed to a very objectionable temporary parenting plan, having followed what turns out to be very bad advice from my previous attorney. Todd was very honest and straightforward regarding my chances of changing the temporary plan and the costs associated with this. He listened to my concerns with much attention and empathy. Unlike my previous attorney, he was not dismissive of my concerns regarding my daughter’s well being. In court, Todd was to the point, concise, efficient, and respectful of his time allocation, a point not lost on the magistrate.

Todd was always very responsive, and kept in constant contact. I made several panicked calls to him and while he could not always call back right that moment, he would at a minimum send a quick email. It was very reassuring to receive an immediate response letting me know he would call me the following day to discuss my concerns.

Todd is a very fair and scrupulous person, his integrity is uncompromising. I always trusted his advice without question. He was never one to mislead or give vague answers to make the case drag on, thus racking up higher fees. I will be eternally grateful to Todd for his hard work on my case!

Family law and domestic violence issues make this a tough business to be in and Todd DeValance makes a BIG difference in people's lives. He most certainly did in mine and I will be forever grateful.
