I recently had probation that I needed to have terminated early in order for me to meet some nursing school deadlines. Lauren was recommended to me by one of my regulars at my job; she was incredibly affordable (I thought I was going to have to give away thousands of dollars), she was always incredibly easy to get a hold of (via, texts, calls, email), and she put my nerves at ease consistently. She had to return to court with me for a secondary hearing, and she didn't charge me for more of her time. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an affordable and professional attorney.
Luaren Wegener and the firm at Bradley Johnson was definitely the best choice for me. They are very professional and will definitely get the job done. From the first meeting to the final trial, was a great experience. I would recommend them to everyone. Thanks again to the team at Bradley Johnson!!!
Lauren was pleasant to work with and made the experience much less stressful.
I never thought I would get pulled over for a second DUI but sh@t happens. The first time I had just went with the provided public defender because I was scared to tell anyone about it and scared of attorney fees. In hindsight I wish I would have hired an attorney for the first one, it would have ended up being cheaper overall in the end.
The second time I planned to not drive but it happened and I went to jail spent the weekend in jail. My family suggested an attorney who seemed incompetent who I initially went with, then I was told by a good friend that he knows Lauren who is a DUI defense attorney who is very intelligent, so I gave her a call and told her my situation and told her that I am very uncomfortable with this other attorney who I had hired representing me and she said it's totally up to me what I do but I should definitely feel good about whatever I choose. She gave me a lot of good clear advice and the previous attorney was trying to charge me an absurd amount for just one court appearance and she helped me get my money back from the previous attorney as well as make the transition over very easy and low stress. During the representation I really didn't have to worry about a thing. She just gave me a list of a few things that I had to do, ordered by the courts, and she helped me take care of both the first and second DUI cases since the second one violated the first. It was pretty easy I mostly just showed up, I am very thankful that I was kept out of jail and never have to go back again!
DUI charge in King County with BAC approx 0.11. Officer pulled me over for speeding. I was arrested on the spot and my car was towed (which I was able to get back after 24 hours and paying around $280). Little did I know it was just the start. As I agreed for BAC test , Officer did not suspend my license immediately.
I was listening to KUOW I believe , that's when I head 1800-DUI-AWAY. It was like a sign from above. I just googled and saw few good reviews and it lead me to Bradley Johnson Attorneys' website. I did not know what to do. Scared, shocked and frustrated and mad - I decided to call 1-800-DUI-AWAY. It was late in the evening , probably around 7.30 or 8 PM ish. A quiet voice answered the Phone , saying hello, How may I help you? I told my story that I have been arrested for DUI and I have to appear in court tomorrow. First reply I received was, Where am I and how I was doing and was I OK ?. Then the person on the other side asked me to relax and that she will help me to get through this together. Believe me, those words are very powerful if someone is just arrested for DUI charge just the night before. She said we can meet in-person at least for first time or have a teleconference if I am not able to make it in person. She asked me to go to court and plead not-guilty and that its called arraignment (I did not know it was called that until that point in time). And she will be sending me a text tomorrow morning with the Info and was kind enough to agree for a meeting after 5 PM. During this whole conversation , I did not even get a chance to ask her name. Anyway , the conversation ended.
I had court the next day , and this would be second day I call in sick to work in a row. I could not afford one more day. Next day morning , as promised I received a text early morning asking for my Info and confirming our appointment. And then I knew it was Lauren from Bradley Johnson Attorneys. She sent me the office address of down town Seattle and there I went. She asked me the details of what exactly happened and how I ended up there. She handed me over a booklet with details of what are my options based on my BAC and what are minimums and maximums I am looking at. And also regarding the DOL hearing which runs separately (again, I did not know there was separate DOL hearing). Also, Lauren was kind enough to let me pay her fees in instalments.
Outcome: DOL hearing hearing was scheduled after 30 days. Unfortunately, DOL found against me and my License was suspended for 90 days. Bradley Johnson Attorneys' office was kind enough to send me details on what are my next options, If I need to keep driving. I decided not to drive for time for suspension. In Civil Court, fortunately my charge was reduced to Negligent Driving in First Degree with no jail time, no ignition interlock and $0 fine and 24 months on probation. But I had to pay few penalties as part of negligent driving. I ended up taking Alcohol Evaluation, Alcohol & Drug Information Classes & Victims Impact Panel Classes. I have heard King County has strict laws pertaining to DUI. I am so happy that I am not convicted of DUI.Else it it would have been a disaster for me - I could have ended up losing my Job. I can't wait for my suspension period to over and reinstate my license and start driving again.
I highly recommend Lauren and Bradley Johnson Attorneys. You cannot go wrong here. Lauren is very aggressive and got my DUI reduced to Negligent Driving in First Degree. No Jail , no Ignition Interlock. All this happened within 4 months and I appeared in court in 3 times in total. I am so glad and its past me now. The office of Bradley Johnson and Katie- my case manager have been very patient with my calls and kept sending mail in regards to progress of my case and important upcoming dates.
Again, its not worth driving under the influence of any substance. The consequences can have a bad mark on one's career, social, financial and family life.
I thought I had an amazing attorney for child custody. Then I seen Lauren at work. This young lady is on top of everything! I could not be happier with the resolution! She is very professional and always punctual! I am referring anyone I can to Lauren!
Lauren Wegener @ Bradley Johnson Attorneys is HANDS DOWN the BEST attorney anyone could ever ask for!! I genuinely mean that!!! I sadly, have had to hire her expertise, as well as her team, (you get their entire army when you retain any one of them!) a number of times for my, not so stellar driving record for issues I caused myself when I was younger, that have unfortunately followed me into my 30's, but would NOT be able to have diligently faught each and every issue, with more then favorable outcomes, in my favor, without her incredible knowledge, as well as persistent skills she uses to get things done, that have, and has, continually produced results I could only dream of when first facing a few charges I have in the past! I would recommend specifically her, but even confidently, any last one in her team, to represent me, and wouldn't trust a single other attorney period, to produce the kind of winning outcomes she can obtain for a defendant time after time!!!! 15 out of 5 stars if I could!!
Counselor Wegener (Gotchy) represented me in a highly sensitive case, and has advised me in other matters since, over a period of four years. She was knowledgeable, prepared, and incredibly articulate before the judge. She and her staff were as responsive as one could hope for during the stressful time of legal deliberations. I would recommend her to anyone seeking expertise and superb service.
i hired lauren to represent me in a severe dui case. she was the most informed attorney out of 5 law firms that i found and was very confident in herself and what she was able to do for my case . i am very happy with the sentence that she was able to get and how she kept me informed of the process between the courts and all other parties involved in this case . i highly recommend her to anyone that has to go through a dui case .
Lauren represented me on two separate DUI cases over the past 5 years. The first case we did a deferred prosecution and all was well, but then I screwed up and got another one a few years later. Unfortunately judges don't take too kindly to multiple offenders and I was facing jail time. Lauren was able to get me in the work release program for a short time so I could keep my job. She and her case managers and receptionists were always responsive and worked hard to ensure that everything was working out for me. She replies to texts, emails, and phone calls at all hours of the day and night. And she also seems to have a good relationship with the prosecutors and judges, which is a huge plus.
One more thing.. I can honestly attest first hand from being in and out of courtrooms with Lauren, that public defenders around here are overbooked and do not have a lot of time. I am sure they're all good people, but I doubt you would be getting a call back from them anytime soon if you have questions about your case. Just something to keep in mind.
this was my first DUI incident & i had no idea what to do. i knew i couldnt get through this without legal advice. my friend heard an ad for 1800 DUI away on the radio & told me to call. after calling i was presented with Lauren, who made me feel comfortable with the situation as soon as we discussed it. i knew she was there to help me, and any time i ever had questions she was always there to answer me. i would highly reccomend her to anyone who needs a dependant lawyer or legal advice. there were a couple times i had court where she wasnt present because she had other court cases that conflicted, but there was always someone there to represent her who studied my case; so i never felt alone. my case lasted almost a year and she stood by my side the whole time. i am very grateful she was able to represent me and i appreciate everything she did for me. my case was dismissed and i truly owe it to her.
