Dhir v. Gupta, et al.

Case Conclusion Date: 08.13.2008

Practice Area: Business

Outcome: Summary Judgment in favor of my defendant clients.

Description: An individual sued a religious temple and several members of its management, alleging various violations of the Corporations Code, civil rights violations, fraud, and other claims. In the first stage of the case in federal court, I got the case dismissed with prejudice. In the second stage of the case, I obtained summary judgment for my clients. I also obtained thousands of dollars in sanctions against the plaintiff, for filing frivilous motions. I then succeeded in having the court declare the plaintiff a "vexatious litigant" (which prevents him from filing in any CA court without permission of the presiding judge).
