Gooden v. General Motors

Case Conclusion Date: 02.10.2010

Practice Area: Lemon Law

Outcome: Settlement after summary adjudication

Description: This was a complicated case in which General Motors tried at several junctures to escape liability (the case also coincided with the bankruptcy and reorganization of GM). In the end, however, the court agreed with us that the car was defective "as a matter of law". As a result, a trial was not necessary and the case promptly settled.
