I had a misdemeanor in FLA 12 yrs ago. I tried to get housing in another stae last year and I was denied at several apt complexes because of it . I didn't even know this was a problem ,untill then! I contacted MATTHEW HIGBEE AND ASSOC at Recordbegone.com and thay helped me get it sealed . It won't come up on any background checks anymore! I was kept informed and all my questions were answered immediately by Betty and Jessica. Iam verry happy I chose this firm . They do EXACTLY what they say they'll do at half the cost of other Atttorney's (believe me I checked) fees. Thanks guys!!

Frankly, was direct in his repsonses to my questions, persistant in keeping me infomred, responsive to my request for assistance, and AS timely in obtaining an outcome as the system would allow.

I found ZERO deviation from what was expected, told to me, written, or otherwise. His office as well, performed with the highest level of professionalism.

While one seeks legal services for varied reasons, sometimes to resolve a rather uncomforatnle situation, his professionalism, at least made the experience smooth.

The amount of work that they did for 495 dollars was insane. The DA opposed having my case cleared and then requested it be continued two times. Hopefully, RecordGone.com doesn't have to go to court three times on every case or else they won't be in business long. It took a little longer than I hoped, but that was the DA's fault. I was shocked that they didn't drop the case when it got bumpy and they were locked into to their flat fee. They were very professional. I couldn't be more satisfied. Around late Oct. of 2007, I was searching for a lawyer who specializes in record sealing here in California. At the time, I have spoke with just about all of the lawyers based out of the OC/SOCAL area whose contact information turned up on the first 4 search pages on Google under: Record Sealing, 851.8, Arrest Record Sealing and Destroying etc. After a month or so of research, I was quoted prices ranging from $700 to $6K. In addition, I have also spoke to about 3 to 4 lawyers who had advised me to simply quit on my hope of sealing an arrest record. According to them, the chances of it being granted is so low that it isn't even worth the effort. In the end, after speaking with a large # of well-known seasoned criminal defense lawyers, I was fully convinced that Mathew's firm was the ONLY one that was able to successfully represent me for a number of key reasons:

1. When speaking with Mathew, I had a sense that he truly CARED about my case. Unlike other lawyers whom I spoke with at the time, Mathew never once gave me the impression that he was in it simply for the $$. He patiently listened to my story and answered all of my questions in details. When I called back weeks after my initial consultation, Mathew was able to quickly pull up my file and pick up where we had left off. None of the lawyers....NOT one....was able to do that. At the time, this was a convincing evidence that he truly cared about my case.

2. After signing up with Mathew's firm, I was always in the loop of all of the updates involving my case. Yes, I had the ability to check the status of my case via his website. But, when I needed a more elaborate update, Mathew always...........ALWAYS returned my messages in a timely manner.

3. Lastly, his fee was very reasonably priced. (Especially when compared to some of the $4000+ prices that was quoted to me)

Ultimately, at the end of the day, Mathew's firm came through. With his firm's representation, we were able to have my ARREST RECORD SEALED AND DESTROYED. A pretty amazing accomplishment considering it's one of the most challenging thing to do when it comes to record clearing here in California.

I hired Mat for an expungement case of my criminal record. I was having some problems dealing with another online company and decided to give his firm a try.

He was personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond the *guaranteed* service he offers. He was able to pull up my case while we were on the phone together, and talk me through it. He ALSO helped me retrieve my money from this other company I was dealing with, in addition to winning my case! Mat has patiently and diligently answered any and all questions I have had along the way, and has excellent communication skills. What more could you ask for!

Initially I was a little sceptical to use Mr. Higbee because I found him on a website, and it was a little impersonal because I usually prefer working with someone face to face. Mr. Higbee provided me with all the information I needed to confirm who he was.

Matthew Higbee is the very first attorney I've ever used who got positive results. My three misdemeanors from the 80's have been expunged and I am relieved of this burden I've lived with a long time. In a post 9/11 world, I no longer have to worry about the growing sophisticated employment background checks from on-line court databases.
The informative site Mathew Higbee provides on RecordGone.com is also extremelly helpful in understanding the process of expungment that saves on attorney's fees. His service staff was expedient and helpful as well. I spoke with Mr. Higbee once and found him to be extremely helpful and willing to share his valuable time far after I paid and my case was completed.
