I represented this man 8 years ago. He was in trouble for constantly being very late for work and claiming it was due to delayed allergic reactions to food eaten the day before. The medical professional (not an MD) who he claimed had verified his condition was no longer in practice and not to be found. I sent him to a doctor who was the co-chairman of the Food and Drug Administration’s committee on adverse reactions to food constituents and who had been listed as one of “America’s Best Doctors” for 10 years in a row. That doctor performed a series of tests and opined the client did not have allergies, “delayed reactions” such as what were being claimed were essentially non-existent, and the client was faking. Because I do not represent fakers, I told him to find a new lawyer. I understand he did so and lost his case.
