Michael has always been there for me from the start. He has helped me through some very difficult times. His advice and performance in court have helped me immensely. He has even worked with me during my financial hardships. All said, he has stuck with me and I feel very lucky to have found him and retained him as my lawyer.

I hired Michael for a .09 DUI I got while still on probation from 2 previous DUI's in 2008... I was almost 4 years into the 5 year probationary period, and the DA's office was trying to seize my vehicle on top of everything else that a 3rd DUI conviction brings.
Before we went to trial, Michael succeeded in having the 2 previous convictions suppressed, so the jury didn't know about them, which SHOULD HAVE been a good thing... but there were serious problems with the judge in the case. A former prosecutor herself, she was objecting on behalf of the prosecution from the bench, coaching the city's attorney, and denying most of Michael's objections... BLATANTLY siding with the prosecution! She called SO many sidebars, that it became a joke with the jury... it wasn't looking good, and I was scared.
Michael's expert witness had done a GREAT job of casting doubt on the equipment used, and the expertise of the prosecution's so called "expert" witness. And it was proven in court that the Poway sheriff who arrested me had given me improper instructions on using the breathalizer, and that in essence, I had passed the field sobriety check before being administered the breath test. It was now up to the jury to decide my fate.
They deliberated for a full day, and in the end, enough doubt had been implanted in the minds of a couple of the jurists that we wound up with a hung jury. Had it not been for Michael's passion (and his expert witness), I would probably be in jail today.

This man is a genius attorney. I felt completely at ease after talking to him. I can not believe what our police department is able to get away with. For less than the price of a DUI fine, Mike was my savior. Watching him in court is like watching a professor educated the court system (DA, judge, officers, etc) on the legal rights of the public. If you are in trouble call this man immediately. Mike made time for me within hours of contacting him. He is prompt, to the point, and completely effective. He knows the law better than the DA in my case so much so that the judge fined the DA for points Mike brought to light. I can not say enough about this attorney. WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Getting a DUI is very stressful worring about fines, suspension of license, and jail time. Well I was facing my 3rd DUI, blowing a .11, driving on a suspended license. I lived out of town, and my case was in San Diego. I had a failure to appear in court, with a warrant for my arrest. I was worried sick about losing my job and my freedom. I hired Mr. Fremont, and he very swiftly got to work. The next morning my warrant was cleared. Mr. Fremont and his staff are very professional, responsive and has answered questions, and provided me with any information that needed. After examining my case, and prepared to go to trial, Mr. Fremont was able to work out a deal that I was very pleased with that included no additional DUI charges going on my record, and losing no points on my drivers license. Mr Fremont worked with me with his fees, and I feel that the price was very reasonable. I strongly recommend that if you're in a bind and don't know what to, call Michael Fremont.

An old DUI conviction from Arizona came back to haunt me when the CA DMV found out and suspended my license 7 years later. I searched online for help, and found Michael Fremont. He was familiar with this kind of case, and immediately got a stay on the suspension and eventually got the DMV to fully reinstate my license with no additional penalty, and no court appearances needed by me. Thanks Mike!

If you are looking to fight your DUI in San Diego. Michael Fremont should be at the top of the list.
I got my 1st and only DUI 5 months ago and drive for a living. I initially hired another specialist (arguable the #1 DUI Specialist in San Diego) but, realized quickly that my case was turned over to another associate that was not very responsive or cared about my case - i had even paid for trial even though this rarely happens. I switched to Fremont after one 10 min call after he had reviewed the police report. I have seen how thorough he has been during a pretrial motion and he is a legend (heard other attorneys talking about him at court). He even teaches other attorneys how to handle dui cases. He is battling for me at the DMV and has been relentless in getting a long list of evidence to fight my case in court. While the circumstances of my case were not that encouraging , he has already found some real issues and is fighting hard for me. He is old school in that he handles everything personally. He and his staff are very professional, responsive and has answered questions. Read the reviews and then look at his site. I will provide an update on my case when it is done (good or not so good) but, at least I know that Fremont is my best shot at finding a positive resolution and I should have hired him from the get go.

About 2 years ago I was arrested for a DUI, while driving on a suspended license, from a prior DUI. I contacted 5 other DUI attorneys until I finally retained Michael Fremont. From my very first meeting, he was optimistic and had a plan of attack with my case. I had a prior DUI that wasn't resolved correctly from my first attorney, I was driving on a suspended license, and I blew a .16. He didn't seem worried at all that I had a prior dui, and my license was suspended. The fact that he was so confident, helped to ease my mind.
Michael was able to find a small loophole in paperwork filed by the DA, which ended up in a scheduling conflict with the arresting officer. This ended up throwing the officer's testimony out completely due to failure to appear. The DA requested a continuance, and dragged the case on for an additional 2 years!!! The case ended up having to be restarted, as the DA was granted their continuance. So we were back at square one....
In the 2 year span that my case was being reviewed, Michael constantly updated me on progress and stayed positive. He was always available to answer any questions I had.
A few weeks ago we were finally able to sit in front of the DA and the judge, and I was able to watch Michael negotiate a tremendous plea bargain.
He was able to talk the DA into pleading my case down to a wet wreckless. Instead of being convicted of a 2nd dui and facing possible jail time, I am only required to do a small number of community service days and attend the alcohol classes.
When I processed my paperwork at the courthouse to arrange payments for my fines, I still remember the look on the clerks face when he said to me, "You were driving with a suspended license, above the legal limit..........and you were able to plea down to a wet wreckless?? You must have a hell of an attorney!"
Michael Fremont saved my life, and my career. I want to personally thank you for all of your help.
I highly recommend him for any DUI/DWI case.

I can't say enough good things about Michael Freemont. I was facing a mandatory sentence of 4-5 months for my third DUI offense in ten years. Freemont worked out a deal with the DA to let me serve the time in a rehab facility as opposed to jail. With the use of the SCRAM alcohol monitoring device meeting the requirement of the mandatory custody associated with a third offense. He postponed my court date several times until he could get it in front of a judge who was sympathetic to our situation, and in favor of rehabilitation as opposed to jail...
He was very thorough.
It was quite obvious that he enjoyed going to all lengths possible to get the best result for his client.
When I was doing all my paperwork after the plea, I encountered two different women who worked for the court who were impressed with his ability to keep me out of custody on a third DUI. Additionally, they were complimentary of him in that he knew the law inside out, and that he was well respected in the District Attorney's office and amongst the judges.
I couldn't reccomend Michael Freemont more... I loved his never quit attitude. If anyone is in a similar situation I would hire Freemont in a heartbeat. I was also quite surprised at how reasonable his fees were for what a great job he did.

Michael was on my case from minute one and kept me informed about each step during this lengthy process. His assistant is also very pleasant to deal with. He was referred to me by a former client I met in jail after my arrest who told me that he gets people off each time. I knew that these women know and trusted Michael from day one! It was formidable watching Mr. Fremont argue in court. He is extremely intelligent, sharp, and to the point. He does not miss one beat. He leaves any competition in the dust. As predicted, my case got thrown out of court. I am a very thankful and free woman again. I have nothing but good things to say about Mr. Fremont.

Mr. Fremont did an exencllent job handling my case. When first meeting with Mr. Fremont to discuss the details of my case, he made me feel at ease by being up front and totally honest about what to expect. He told me his plan of action for getting me the results that I needed and followed through to the "T". My BAC was very high and for a while I had lost hope of getting anything other than a DUI. With persistians, knowledge, and skill Michael was able to get me unbelieveble results.
Another major plus is his staff was very helpful and friendly. They stayed well connected with me and kept me in the loop. They were also very flexible when it came to finances.
I definitely recommend anyone with DUI issues to hire Mr. Fremont and his excellent staff.

IF your BAC was low dont waste your money. I wish he would have told me that but instead I paid 2,200 for the same results I would have had on my own. I hired him because I was most concerned about getting a set aside at the DMV hearing. He sounded so confident when I got my consultation and when I called a month later about my DMV hearing he completely changed his story and tone. So I didn't get a set aside. I had a bac of .088 I was offered a wet reckless which they would have given me anyway. Ok so I hire and I don't even get the reduced DUI classes of 12 hrs I got the 30 hr class. My fine was $1050 and classes were 477. If I was told to save my money I could have paid my fine and done my classes and still have 500$ extra in my pocket. If I were to hire a lawyer again I would go with cole/Casey I talked to them first and I knew in my gut they could have got the job done. I wish someone would have wrote a review about a really low BAC and I
Could have saved my money

Was recently fighting for my freedom facing 3-6 years for Felony DUI. Mr. Fermont worked hard to defend my case and was able to work out a work furlough deal for 6 months. His hard work and experience not only save my job but possibly losing my family. I cannot say more than thank you Mr. Fremont for your hard work.
If you find yourself in an unfortunate situation I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Michael Jon Fremont to defend your freedom and your rights.

this guy is a miracle worker. I got pulled over for a 2nd DUI in San Diego about a year ago giving my friend a ride because she couldn't drive. Michael Fremont worked hard for a whole year trying to work the case in my favor. i was afraid i was going to lose the case but Michael Fremont was able get the case dismissed. I thanks this men for so much since now i can finally move on with my life and put this experience behind. I was skeptical at first but Michael had already gotten my friend out of 5 DUI and another friend of mine out of one so i knew he is the best choice out there no questions about it. He took care of everything without my presence because i moved out of state witch saved me a lot of time and money. thanks Mr. Fremont for everything.

Excellent, professional experience from first contacting him the day after my arrest, all the way through trial and reaching a verdict. The entire experience took just about 9 months and Mr. Fremont and his team kept me calm and informed with the latest information as my case moved on. Everything from DMV hearings to court appearances, he takes care of it. As stressful as the ordeal was, he was extremely honest and remained positive even when I was feeling far from it. What looked like a simple open and shut case for the prosecution (0.13 breath test taken at the time of driving, 0.14 blood test result), turned out to be a courtroom battle resulting in 12 jurors deciding "not guilty" and me being acquitted of all DUI charges.
Mr. Michael Fremont is an extremely intelligent and experienced attorney in the realm of DUI/DWI cases and I recommend his services to anyone in need of a solid defense team.

I would recommend Michael Fremont to anyone with a compelling defense in a DUI DWI case. I contacted many lawyers prior to hiring Mr. Fremont, and was unsure how much to spend and who to go with. He is an expert and provided confidence that my case was winnable, and did exactly that. Case dismissed. After dealing with him I was confident i hired the right guy for the job.

Mike handled everything extremely well and quickly. I only had to appear in court once. Being a military member this whole ordeal had the potential to completely wreck my already hectic life and ruin my career. The court case itself went smoothly and was dropped to a wet and reckless. Lucky for me it only got input and listed as a regular reckless driving but I can't help but think maybe he had something to do with it. I was ordered to pay the fine and take the course but I've been deployed and transferred and about to deploy again and have been unable to complete my course. Even though my case is over and I'm in a completely different state across the country Mike continues to help and push for extensions keeping me from having a warrant issued. Thanks to Mike this stupid mistake on my part has cost me nothing more than time and money. My driving record and insurance have been unaffected and most importantly I still have my career. I will definitely never make the mistake to put myself in this position again. I highly reccomend Mr. Fremont and I pray I never have to hire him again. But I am extremely thankful I did and grateful for everything he has and continues to do to help me through this.

Michael Fremont is the Saint Jude of attorneys.Saint Jude is the saint of lost causes. The cause is not lost with Fremont. He pulled off a spectacular motion to question the legality of a DUI checkpoint and did so with fervor, sense and logic. The court was pleased with the arguments presented and at the time final arguments were to be presented, only the prosecution made them Fremont rested and worn for me. Stellar performance.

I regret that I hired Mr. Fremont for my DUI case.
I discovered that he is NOT internet competent, not skilled with computer/phone technology, and he has an unskilled staff. Mr. Fremont cannot even spell or edit his legal papers, so they were full of errors that I had to correct. He just didn't have his act together, rushing in at the last minute and still shuffling papers. I ended up doing most of the case preparation.
Do not hire Mr. Fremont unless you are prepared to spend your money on a winnable case and then LOSE.
Lawyer’s Comment:
As can be seen by reading the other reviews this former client is in the small minority of cases that I have handled. Sometimes the case does not come out the way that the client wishes or hopes. Some cases are more difficult than others and some clients have unrealistic expectations and get mad at the end of the case.

After doing my research, I went with Michael and I made the right choice. His quickness and knowledge of how to handle my DUI really helped me out. He found the faults that the arresting officer made and worked to reduce my charge. With a high BAC level, he was able to reduce my charge to a wet reckless which I am grateful for.

I have worked with Michael on two separate DUI cases since 2001. Mr. Fremont was highly professional through the point of retainer through the case disposition. My last DUI was June 2011 wherein Mr. Fremont managed to obtain a full dismissal on a .19 BAC with a suspended license. In addition, Mr. Fremont also managed to have the DMV case dismissed as well. Mr. Fremont's fees are reasonable and bordering on cheap based on the services he provides to his clientele. I highly recommend Michael Fremont for your DUI criminal case.

To have a lawyer tell you that you don't need a lawyer is very refreshing. Michael walked me through what to do in order to get my warrant revoked free of charge. I would retain him in the future if I needed a lawyer.

Mr Fremont has helped me with my DUI tremendously, he got rid of my probation and he is going to get it expunged soon. He was also nice to me financially because I had some money issues. I definitely suggest him.

Mike is very knowledgeable about the law and immediately, after hearing my case, came up with a strong defense. At the motion trial, he was totally sure of his defense and made a case against pretty much all of the arguments made by the prosecution (and on top of that he gave the jerk cop that arrested me a really hard time, so it was almost fun to watch). I did catch a bit of a lucky break as the cop that arrested me was not honest about the breathalyzer he was using, and so that helped my case. But Mike did help to get my sentence down to a dry reckless-a non alcohol related defense. What a relief.
He's a bit hard to keep track of, but responded quickly to phone calls and answered all of the questions I had about my case. Also, the guy's funny, and that never hurts!
Posted by a Criminal Defense client, Flag
Mr. Fremont came to court with an excellent command of both the law and the facts, causing the Judge to have to rein the officer in to the point of ruling that evidence sought to be used against me was legally inadmissible. This resulted in an outright dismissal of all charges against me.

My experience with Michael Jon Fremont was great , I went through 9-10 lawyers before hiring Mr. Fremont for a very reasonable price. He was a excellent choice for a DUI attorney. I highly recommend him. He was able to keep me out of prison for my 4th DUI. He fought hard for the best deal available in my case with a accident on my 4th DUI.

I had a case that I knew wasn't fair and in favor of the DA. Every lawyer only would offer to fight for a reduction in penalty. Mike is the only one that said "If it goes to trial", we will fight as hard as we can. ALL other lawyers said a trial would be a waste of time and money. Mike proved them wrong, took to trial and got a dismissal. Thanks to him I can start rebuilding my life. If your in the San Diego area, are in need of a DUI Attorney I would highly recommend him

Based on my overall legal experience with michael, his knowledge regarding his practice prevailed! No one wants to be fed lies and loose thread. (which a lot of lawyers do) He was straight forward throughout the litigation process, with both myself and who ever my charges may concern. Resulting in charges that were reduced. In summary, his verbal predictions never alleviated my concerns regarding my charges, But his exact prediction regarding the reduction of my charges WAS ON THE MONEY! THANKS MIKE

I hired Mr. Fremont to defend me against an alleged .10 BAC DUI charge. Although to this day I still profess my innocence, I told Mr. Fremont early and often that I would accept a plea deal to get this behind me and move forward and not jeapordize my career of 15 years any further. Mr. Fremont never attempted to negotiate a plea deal, and instead insisted that a jury trial was the best course of action. During that trial, Mr. Fremont made some questionable judgment decisions; one of which was not to use my written medical report which documents my hiatal hernia, since I was led to believe that we were building our case around my acid reflux (GERD) as the reason for my elevated BAC, which is in fact true. The Jury never learned anything about me, never had any idea that I had a medical condition that elevates breathalyzer results as published by the American Medical Association. The Jury found me guilty on both counts (a) and (b), and the Judge showed zero leniencies at sentencing, during which Fremont hardly put up a fight for me. I've never been arrested prior to this, never been in trouble with the law, never even stepped foot in a court room in my entire life; and haven't had so much as a parking ticket in the last 10 years. I would not recommend Fremont’s services.

Mike did a great job of handling my case. I was accused of DUI with a BAC of .16 from a blood test. Mike managed to have the case plead down to a wet/reckless with only a fine and a few days community service, before we even went to trial, saving me a substancial amount of money. Mike kept me informed, and was well known by his contemporaries and even recommended to me by fellow lawyers. I highly recommend his services.

After being arrested for a DUII, I contacted an attorney friend of mine for a referral. After an exhausting search, he recommended I hire Michael Fremont. For a very reasonable fee, Michael fought on my behalf for 9 months while the DA stonewalled and refused to turn over evidence. He never wavered from his expectations and all documentation was ultimately received.
When the District Attorney refused any meaningful settlement negotiations, we set the matter for trial. The trial lasted over 4 days during which time Michael was able to discredit the arresting officer as well as the “expert” witness hired by the prosecution. Because he has always focused on DUII defense; he was able to produce evidence to impeach the expert’s testimony as it directly conflicted with testimony he’d given on another case several years back.
Michael believes in what he does and it shows. He’s passionate about the law and understands its applications and nuances better than any other lawyer I’ve known. He constantly processes information before him and formulates solid arguments. He’s well respected in the community and deservingly considered the #1 DUII Defense counsel in San Diego County.
At the end of jury deliberations, I received a not-guilty verdict on the (a) count, the jury hung on the (b) count. The Court declared a mistrial and though the DA argued to have the (b) count left open for a retrial; Michael argued vehemently for a dismissal. The court agreed and the (b) count was dismissed.

Mr. Fremont was an excellent choice for a DUI attorney. I would highly recommend him. He listened to what I needed accomplished to save my military career and made it happen. The DUI charges were reduced to dry reckless on a borderline case, eliminating the need to risk a full DUI charge at a trial.

I retained Michael Fremont because I had been charged with a 4th DUI and was looking at being sentenced to 180 days in jail manadory. Michael was able to arrange for me to do time, and get credit for time, acrued in a residential treatment center instead. He did an excellent job and for his hard work, I am forever greatful.

I was charged with DUI with a 110 MPH speeding allegation. Charges were reduced to a wet reckless. After over 8 months Mr. Fremont's Cross examination of the arresting officer in a pretrial motion got the DA to finally make an offer of the lesser charge.

I had gotten a dui a couple months ago after driving through a check point in the middle of the night, blowing a .15 BAC level and i'm 20 years old. Took my case to mick after being referred by a friend, and it was the best decision i've ever made. Had court just the other day and the man GOT MY DUI DISMISSED. I was, and still am in a bit of shock about it, but Fremont definitely knows exactly what he is doing. He's totally confident and will fight relentlessly for his clients. I'm sure anyone who reads this will be wondering how exactly the DUI got dismissed, i myself don't even know how it could be possible. But you definitely have to give attorney Michael Fremont a chance to work his magic.

I cannot speak too highly of Mr. Michael Fremont, without doubt he is the best attorney I have ever worked with, and retained the services of. Back in April 2010 I was unfortunate enough to get charged with a second DUI while driving back home. After my first DUI I promised myself never to be so foolish, however as I have learned that a second DUI can happen all to easily. Devastated at my own stupidity, and facing some hefty charges; 90days – 1 year in Jail , an 18 Month Course, another 5 years of probation, and additional charges due to the fact that I had violated my current probation. I turned to Mr. Fremont, his advise was sound and very factual, one of the many qualities I admire about him is that he does not hide issues, and lets you know directly the likely outcome of your case ; with some 20+ years experience of DUI defense he has seen every DUI case permutation. Michael explained clearly the jeopardy I was in, while many DUI lawyers would have recommend to try and go for Wet Reckless plea bargain charge, Mr. Fremont recommend against the course of action. The wet reckless charge, although a lesser charge is a prior-able offense, and I would be setting myself up for a third DUI which has some dire consequences .
As my BAC level was not screamingly high, he recommend taking my case to court for a full Jury trial. I was apprehensive, however I am so pleased that we took this strategy, Michael’s preparation for the trial was very detailed and thorough , he had prepared some 20+ motions to put my defense on the best footing possible. He had also done his homework and had evidence to the fact that the police BAC measuring equipment was badly calibrated and reading high. In the opening arguments he took the prosecution apart with his own unique aggressive presentation style, and surgical precision laying out the true facts of my case for the jury. We were only 45 minutes into the real trial proceedings, when the prosecutor violated one of the motions Mr. Fremont had filed, the Judge had no option but to declare a miss-trial and all the charges were dropped against me. I cannot thank Mr. Michael Fremont enough, I highly recommend his services there is no better lawyer in San Diego!!

He will only discuss what he knows (which I like & very professional), instead of telling me what I wanted to hear, which in the end he did. The criminal case dissmissed & going back for another hearing at DMV. I can't tell you how happy I am I made the call to him, I will always be grateful Mike, Thank You!!!

While going through the stressful DUI process, it was real assuring for me to know that Michael took any of my calls or returned my calls as soon as he could regarding my serious concerns and keeping me informed of my status.
I work very demanding and long hours. Consequently, it was also relieving to me to have a dependable lawyer, such as Michael, to attend one of my two court dates without me present as well as attending the other with me.
Just recently, I received a warrant for my immediate arrest and was ordered to turn myself in at the courthouse. I hadn't signed up for my DUI classes, however, I was still within my 90 day requirement before being seen as defiant. The court had me noted as being past my 90 days and ordered the arrest. I was frightened and wasn't sure how to deal with the situation.
I had someone drive me to the courthouse and park near the building but I was too frightened to go in without speaking to someone from the courthouse first. I spoke with a court clerk and she said there would be a strong possibility I would be arrested upon entering and checking in. I then called and spoke to someone at the Public Attoreney's office for that district. He said, "Go into the courthouse and immediately look for someone with a tie, he will probably be an attorney, ask him for help." This was unsettleling so I called the Public Attorney's office for another district. The woman who answered stressed that I need to get in touch with the attorney who originally handled my case.
I called Michael Fremont (I hadn't spoken with him for 5 monnths simply because there was no need.) He happened to be at the courthouse. He asked for my case number and within 30 minutes, had my warrant pulled and a newly established, later date documented for me to sign up for classes.
I truly regret my poor gudgement in getting a DUI in the first place. With Michael Fremont's guidance and ongoing assistance, it put me in a better, more secure mind-set, inabling me to fous on learning from my mistake and living a more productive and healthier lifestyle.

In the fall of 09 , i was stopped for suspicion of driving under the influence. After the field sobriety tests and blowing the breathalyzer, the officer concluded i was DUI. I was arrested and sent to San Diego Central jail. Weeks later, i went to court for arrainment. I knew i could NOT just plead guilty and ruin my career. I decided to talk with the public defender. The public defenders office took my case. BAD DECISION! The next court date, my public defender kept insisting to me to take " the slightly lesser charge" which was still a DUI. She pretty much told me " it is what it is..... You got a DUI and there is really NO defense for your case. I felt ruined. I knew that with this public defender, I was heading for a sure conviction. I was so upset, but felt like something had to be done. That night, i did some research and came across Michael's website. After looking at his attorney profile, which you can see for yourself, i knew he would be the best representation for my case. Mr. Fremont showed up with me in court to take over my case. I knew i had made a good choice when several other lawyers in the courthouse approached him and knew him well. That day, Mr. Fremont requested a time extension for him to carefully review my case and also set a trial date. A few weeks later, Mr. Fremont called me and told me about some discrepancies found in my case. This was good news. The next court date, during a Motion to Suppress Evidence hearing, Mr. Fremont unleashed his knowledge, aggressiveness, and professionalism. In front of two officers and the prosecutor, the judge granted us the Motion. As a result, the evidence against me was thrown out of court. I can still remember the angry prosecutor's face as he realized his case against me " went down the drain ". Next week Mr. Fremont calls me with great news. No need to go to trial. CASE DISMISSED.

I received a DUI in 2004 and hired Michael Fremont to represent me. During my case I decided to move back to Minnesota from California and was required to take DUI classes. I completed my classes immediately when I returned to Minnesota. The school that I took the classes at was supposed to send my completion letter to the Vista Court which they never did. I was under the impression that all of this was behind me. In 2010 I went to renew my drivers license and there was a hold on it from the state of California. When I got a hold of the DMV in California they told me that I never completed my classes and my license was suspended and there was a warrant for my arrest. After trying to call the court for a week and not getting anywhere I decided to give my "former" attorney a call. I told Mike the situation and he told me to send him the paperwork that showed I completed my course in 2005. I faxed over the paperwork and with in days he had taken it to the court and solved my issues! I am utterly amazed! Six years has passed since he originally represented me and he didn't even hesitate to help me. No additional charge, just willing to do the right thing. I would recommend Mike to anyone! We all make bad decisions in our lives, it's a matter of learning from them and surrounding yourself with individuals that truly care. And Mike is one of those people!

One year ago i was arrested for a first time DUI. I was refered to some Big Shot Dui Lawyer. My case went on for almost a year with absolutly no results or reductions. I was at my witts end when i was suggested to call Mike. Having already spent thousands I still called. Mike gave me an overview of what he thought he could do. After one 20 minute call with mike I already felt better. Mike kept me in contact the entire time, it felt like he was family the way he faught for me. Needless to say that mike took care of my case in record time only a month and a half and my case took a different look. The Distric Attorneys and Judges were seeing my side of the story and not just another peice of papaer in front of them. I received a call from Mike a week later telling me that we got what we wanted. Something that my previous attorney who was supposed to be the DUI Guy in Sandiego couldn't. Mike saved my career and secured my future in the armed services. If i ever have a friend or family member who is in need of top notch experience and unrelenting devotion to his clients i will always reccommend Mike Freemont. Mike thanks for being there when the going was rough and sticking it out.

Michael Fremont is the most "able", "aggressive" and "knowledgeable" attorney I have ever known or worked with. When I was arrested for a DUI in August of 2009 my life was turned upside down. I was humiliated and confused, feeling as if I'd entered a world ,about which, I knew nothing.
I retained another attorney to deal with the immediate legal and DMV problems hoping he would care enough to fight for my interests. I chose wrong and it became a communications nightmare. It felt as if my attorney was my enemy. What was really happening was I'd selected an attorney who marketed himself well but hadn't the knowledge, desire and ability to defend me.
Then I began to do my homework, looking for the attorney with the best record for tenaciousness and ability. I chose Michael Fremont to take over, clean up the previous attorney's mess and prepare to take my case to court.
Michael didn't just put me on his schedule to deal with later......he welcomed my review of the entire situation and took action immediately filing every motion appropriate to my case. When one of his motions, which was important to my case, was turned down he refiled insisting there were problems with the integrity of the officer who arrested me and the lab. that tested my blood samples. His persistence won the day and , voila!, he uncovered major inconsistencies which not only helped my case but potentially the cases of others.
When faced with the reality of inconsistent lab testing, a doubt that my blood level was at or above the legal limit while I was driving and the very questionable reputation of the arresting officer the DA was embarrassed and the judge was "not pleased!!" Michael quickly "arranged" a change from DUI to "Dry Reckless."
Michael called me immediately following the hearing and simply, but cheerfully, said the words "Dry Reckless." He was so excited to have saved me from my on-going nightmare and I was just so relieved it felt as if a 500 lb. burden had been lifted off of my shoulders.
The entire story of my case would make a decent sized novel........this, I've learned, is not unique. That is why it is "EXTREMELY" important to select an attorney of Michael's caliber who has the ability to sort through the mess and find (or force out) the truth.
I am not only recommending Michael Fremont to everyone who will listen, I'm also telling the amazing story of truth winning over a lie (or disinformation) because this man gave a damn about me.

I had a situattion that others attorneys told me was helpless. I had a high blood alcohol level and no defense. I was looking at a 9 month first conviction program and 15 days of custody along with a $2000 fine. Mr. Fremont was able to manuver the case to where the prosecutor was forced to give me a better deal. I received a $1800 fine, 3 days of public work service and the standard 3 month alcohol program.
He saved me alot of extra grief!

Michael Fremont successfully pled my case (first time DUI) down to a wet/reckless with a BAC of .19, saved my driver's license and kept me from serious trouble with the Navy. He talked me through the entire DUI process and handled all my court proceedings - I only appeared in court twice. He was very knowledgable about military proceedings concerning DUIs and understood the gravity of the offense on my career. He used his considerable contacts in the City Atty's office to get a continuance and eventually found a City Prosecutor who was willing to plead down a high BAC case to a wet/reckless. I highly recommend him to anyone who is faced with this offense, especially someone in the armed services or from out-of-state who doesn't know California laws. Thank you again Mr. Fremont!

When I was in a bind(1st and only time), my family member who is also a peace officer recommended Michael Fremont. Mr. Fremont knows his stuff and is very confident and made the whole process as painless as possible. I walked out of the courtroom without a DUI, No classes to attend and a minimal fine!!!

I had a serious situation with my son that could have potentially affected his future. Because of Mr. Fremont's reputation, experience, and knowledge with his specific drug charge not only was my son's able to avoid incarceration, he was given a second chance to prove himself, to make a difference and I have Mr. Fremont to thank for that. He believed enough in my son. He knew what to do, pointed us in the right direction, advised us and gave us the best information for the resources we needed to get the help we needed. I would recommend his services to anyone

Michael was a great attorney that really helped me through this conflict. I really thought i was going to loose my license and that is what people had told me too. Overall, Mike was a great guy that took me through this DUI with a good price. I was nervous at first but then i found Mike and he solved my solution fast and knew right to do when i told him about my incident. I'm happy about the result of my incident and about how Mikle treated me throughout the DUI.

I rarely write reviews or recommend services to others but I have to admit Michael Fremont is in my opinion the best DUI Attorney in San Diego.
Michael Fremont took on my case over a year ago and has skillfully defended my DUI charge by applying his 20+ years of experience. Everything that Michael said came true and as he clearly knows the DUI/DWI laws inside and out.

Mr. Fremont turned a potentially disastrous felony DUI charge into a manageable misdemeanor case. Faced with two out of state prior DUIs, I was on the brink of becoming a felon, losing my business and having to lay off ten employees. Mr. Fremont diligently challenged the district attorney's office and successfully tore through the red tape, eventually getting the charge reduced to a misdemeanor and reducing the potential sentence from a minimum 180 days in jail to a maximum possibility of 2 weekends in jail. He also successfully proved that the arresting officer wasn't diligent in advising me of all of my rights and all possible outcomes of a refusal. Finally, Mr. Fremont was successful in getting a charge of driving with a suspended license dropped also. I certainly hope that I don't find myself in the same position again, but I keep Mr. Fremont's number on direct dial, just in case. I highly recommend Mr. Fremont to anyone in a similar position.

I have been in trial with Mr. Fremont when we had co-defendants as well as listening to him negotiate and litigate cases in court. He is a caring, intelligent attorney who has represented my son on traffic case. He is the only attorney in my twenty years of practicing criminal law that I would feel sure he would do the right thing for a client as he had done for my son.

DUIs suck but Michael made it less painful to deal with. He took care of everything that needed to be done and informed me when needed. I would definitely recommend him as DUI defense lawyer.

I can't say enough about Michael Jon Fremont. He's professional, sharp, brilliant and dedicated. He represented me for a DUI I received in 2008, and I am VERY MUCH grateful for his services and the out come of my case. He literally saved me thousands of dollars and myF commercial class A license. I was completely acquitted on charges for my first DUI. I would not have trusted anyone else to represent me. Mr Fremont is a highly experienced lawyer and best person I could have ever imagined to have on my side when the power of the state is being brought to bear and the odds seems stacked against you. He was worth every penny because you can't put a price on your freedom. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a DUI attorney!!!

Getting a DUI is not a good thing, its embarrassing and trying. Michael made going
through the legal process and all the other things associated with this type of infraction a lot easier. He provided all the resources to enable me to get on with my
job. My case comes up for trail shortly. I know that Michael has my best interest and rights mind to give me the best representation that he is capable.
Lawyer’s Comment:
Please read all reviews. Out of 49 reviews their are only three negative ones. I always explain to persons with low BAC's that they can usually get a wet without an attorney. However, if they want to fight the DUI and the DMV they need an attorney and must consider going to trial. This client choose not to go to trial. I gave this client a reduced fee to start, did the DMV hearing, filed and argued a motion to supress the evidence, walked her through the license suspension and she did not have to appear in court. At the end of the day it was her choice not to proceed any further. .
