    Top Notch Representation!

Mr. Savela was referred to me by an out of state family member, who is also a DUI lawyer. I could not have been happier with my choice to retain Jason as my attorney who would represent me through my DUI case.

Not only was he very professional and helpful even before retaining him (offered substantial pre-trial information and tips), he showed a sincere interest in my case and its 'quirky' nature. He was able to handle all court proceedings and meetings without the need for me to even be present. He was even able to get the DA to recognize that the charges filed against me and the arrest were unsubstantiated. This resulted in my case being dismissed.

While other attorneys I spoke with in an attempt to get a "bargain" gave me (seemingly unfounded) promises and purported determinations/outcomes, Jason was reasonably optimistic about my case but realistic and rightfully cautious to come to any conclusions. One other attorney I had met with, despite the unusual nature of my case, said I would absolutely be convicted and advised that I start classes and service before even being arraigned. Jason, on the other hand, informed me that it most likely would have little to no effect on my outcome and would be a waste of time and resources.

There are plenty of "cheaper" attorneys out there that you could choose. However, at least with Jason Savela, you will get what you pay for. If you want solid, strong, and realistic representation, then I recommend you check out jasonsavela-law.com and get in touch with Jason (his website has a wealth of information.) I know he got me the absolute best outcome that could have ever been imagined. Oh, and he's a pretty nice guy too!

    Thank you, Jason.

    Would not recommend

A few minutes before I was to appear before a judge he discovered that the offer he had from the DA was not what he thought it would be. He had to bargain with the DA right there to get the deal that I could live with. He had months to do the bargaining and all he did is serve as a liaison between me and the DA: email them my request and email me their refusal, I expect more from a lawyer than what I can do on my own. Overall performance is bellow what I expected and I would not hire him again.

Jason William Savela’s response: “No good deed goes unpunished. I object to this review. I got the client everything asked for including no conviction and no deportation. I do not understand this review. The client never complained during or even 7 months after the case. Then I get this. This person hired me after s/he could not get an immigration friendly offer on a theft case. S/he contacted me just after arrest and I gave free advice about how to handle it on his/her own. I said contact me if s/he could not get the result without an attorney. After s/he spent a few months trying to get the right plea offer, s/he hired me. -- Not quite what client says above. This was theft from a local store. S/he was on video and fully admitted to the crime. S/he had no explanation why s/he committed the crime (s/he has a good job making plenty of money and had no beef with the store - not excuses, but sometimes understandable explanations). S/he is an unapologetic thief and wants you to believe him/her. (Not a convicted or deported thief, because I took care of that.) The facts as described are not correct and misconstrue my work. If s/he could do it on his/her own, then why did s/he hire me after several months of negotiating with the DA? It is because s/he needed me to get the offer. During the case, the DA changed and that complicated the plea bargaining. That is a normal bump in the road that was dealt with smoothly. Courts allow juries to disbelieve thief testimony under the theory that they use deception to get what they want. Without my help, the client would have lost a job as a professor with a university and been deported from US, never able to legally return. I accomplished all goals in 2 months for only a few hundred bucks. I suspect this person is angry at the world - today is when I get my share. Take this review with a pound of salt.”

Thank you Jason. It was indeed a pleasure to speak with you today. Your advice made sense and was economically the best choice. I appreciate your frankness and brevity. I was able to resolve the issue quickly and hopefully am past the difficult period.

    Highly recommend

I would recommend Jason to anyone. When I was searching for a lawyer I wanted the big man at the firm representing me. I called two separate firms and was instead handed off to underlings who quoted me ridiculous prices without even being able to tell me who would actually represent me. When I contacted Jason I was immediately put at ease, he runs the show at his firm and you deal with him directly. I was charged with assault - a possible felony charge facing 1-5 years in prison. The end result: A misdemeanor charge (deferred) that will be dismissed after one year of successful probation. Jason helped keep my stress low during this trying time. He treats you more like a friend than a client. Lastly, he is very honest. He sent detailed billing statements that showed the exact amount of time he spent on elements of my defense. If he spent ten minutes making a phone call to the DA, you get billed for ten minutes (not rounded up to a half hour/hour etc) You should call him if you are in need, I'm glad I did.

A great person to work with!

Jason Savela's professional services was a huge relief for me and dealing with all the different charges that I had been charged with. I was out of state for the whole affair and even though it was probably a really huge pain for him, he stuck with it. He was always on top of things and kept me informed. He gave me a reasonable price and explained things that I didn't understand. Many of my charges were dropped because of his ability to work with the DA and the judge. I never even had to appear in court! I highly recommend this lawyer to all who need a criminal defense laywer.

    Got the job done

I was charged with a fairly serious traffic violation last fall. Jason was able to get the charge reduced to a minor non-moving violation with a small fine. He took care of everything, I never had to appear in court and I kept my license. He communicated well with the DA and created a positive outcome for all involved. He is also a personable and easy to get along with man. I recommend him as a defense attorney that can be trusted to do what he says he will.
