I just got my discharge in the mail yesterday for my chapter 7 bankruptcy. I was so nervous about this process. I had actually paid a down payment on different lawyer but got cold feet because he left me feeling very uneasy. This is when I found Jeff by searching the internet. First his website is so very helpful. It is loaded with information that you need to know about filing bankruptcy. Secondly, Jeff replies to email in an almost unbelievable quick time. Even after hours. The first time I emailed him I was at work on 3rd shift and was so shocked to get a reply within minutes of asking a question. He is very knowledgeable and he doesn't judge you on your situation. He answered most of my questions before my appointment and sent video and audio messages all through the process. The office appointment went very well. He had me fully preprared through email communication before I ever got there. He even sent audio with instructions on how to find his office. The hearing went so well. He was the most professional and knowledgeable lawyer in there. After the hearing he took a minute to tell me that the hearing went well which left me leaving with a much easier feeling. There were no surprises he had everything covered before we even thought about going into that courtroom. I witnissed other lawyers unorganized and left with no answers when the judge asked questions. I believe Jeff goes above and beyond what a person filing bankrupcty would expect. Like I said I had already met with 2 other lawyers who left me with an uneasy feeling as I left their offices. I wish I could explain it better but I assure you, you will not be disappointed in Jeff! He helped me so much an I am forever greatful!

Jeff made my filing so easy. I was a nervous wreck! All of my questions were answered and the entire process was so quick! Jeff lays it all out in front of you. There are no surprises or hidden fees. You will know in your first consultation what the fees are, what he needs to handle your case...the expectations are quite clear. Here it is 5 years after my filing...I needed a copy of all of my papers, and in 20 minutes I received it via email. He was really great to work with. Jeff takes the uncomfortable grind in your stomach and puts you at ease... He is extremely easy to work with, makes sure you understand everything that is happening and when its happening. I could not be any happier with this attorney.

The best thing - when i freak out about how things are going or have questions, I can email him any time day or night and i have always received a very prompt email back with all the answers i need. He takes the worry out of filing.

Jeff did an excellent job handling my bankruptcy. I was able to get a quick appointment and Jeff made me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions. Jeff was very quick to respond to anything I asked him. Hopefully I never need his services again, but I would tell anyone that he is the attorney you need.

Mr. Mathias was professional in every matter! He lifted our confidence in one meeting - We had been beaten down for 5 long years. He was an answer to prayer, and helped us see it was not only reasonable to consider this as one of our options, it was right. We could have never dug out of this huge hole that was really little to no fault of our own. Being involved as a public figure, we didn't want the shame, but we were only digging the hole deeper. In one meeting we were given our options (we were never forced into brcy) and left the meeting with hope. If you're filing bankruptcy in Iowa, I highly recommend contacting Jeff Mathias. I believe he is the rare breed that actually has a passion for what he does. If he cannot help you, he can suggest other attorneys to get you started on his search.

Mr. Mathias's web site is full of clear and useful information. I highly recommend reading through his entire site. Even if you choose other representation, it is a must read if you're seeking bankruptcy protection in Iowa. His simple, to-the-point explanations take much of the stress out of the process.

After reading his site, I was in contact with Mr. Mathias for two months prior to meeting with him. During this time I sent many questions via e-mail to him and got prompt and useful replies every time. Prompt as in within 30 minutes of each question. Several of these e-mails were sent on the weekend. Again, he knows his stuff. You will receive nno nonsense answers that you can understand and use.

I met with Mr. Mathias on a Saturday morning and we completed my entire filing paperwork within an hour. He asked me for the needed information and then he did all the work entering it into the computer. Ordinarily, he bulk submits these filings on the following Thursday. I caught him right before he was going on a week long trip during the holidays. So, he filed that Monday instead.

Even during his vacation, he answered any and all questions and concerns I had via e-mail promptly. He has also sent informative e-mails every step of the way through the rest of the process.

Jeff was a great lawyer who knows his job very well. He was very prepared and made sure I was prepared. He answered all my questions diligently and was always quick to reply. Waiting for my hearing and seeing and hearing other people go through the process I realized how much better prepared Jeff had me for this. He really knows his stuff.

In March of 2008, Jeff filed our bankruptcy. He was respectful and helpful and quick and yet he took his time with us. We didn't feel rushed or pressured. Everything went exactly as he told us to expect. There were no surprises, just results. As bankruptcy goes, I have to assume that this was as pleasant as the experience could have been.

Yesterday, I was in contact with a former debtor who claims that they had no record of the debt discharge. I contacted Jeff this morning by email at 9:10 requesting proof of the discharge. At 9:17 I had a copy of the discharge in my inbox. I'm not kidding! 2 years after the deal was done it took him SEVEN MINUTES to solve my problem!

I really don't know that I've had better client service from any professional in any field anywhere.
