About Me

After graduating from Hixson High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1989, Mr. Alley went on to study neurobiology as an Echols Scholar at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.  In 1992, Mr. Alley obtained a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from the University of Virginia and returned to Tennessee to begin studying law at the University of Tennessee College of Law.  While in law school, Mr. Alley focused his studies on trial advocacy and contracts, actively served as a Knox County General Sessions Court mediator, worked in both the civil and criminal clinics offered by the law school and volunteered his time by helping local high school students with their mock trial programs.  In 1995, Mr. Alley obtained his Juris Doctorate and remained in Knoxville, Tennessee to begin the practice of law.

Mr. Alley's volunteer work with high school mock trial programs led him to begin the practice of law in Anderson County, Tennessee.  From 1995 to 2002, Mr. Alley worked for an Anderson County law firm practicing both civil and criminal litigation throughout twelve (12) East Tennessee counties.  In 2002, Mr. Alley formed his own law firm with offices in Anderson County and Sevier County and served as that firm's primary litigator.  From 2002 to April 2007, Mr. Alley’s practice expanded to include more areas of civil litigation including extensive construction litigation.  In April 2007 Mr. Alley joined Kizer & Black, Attorneys, PLLC to expand his practice to include litigation in additional East Tennessee counties and litigation involving contested wills and conservatorships as well as matters involving breaches of fiduciary duties and trust.

Mr. Alley's areas of practice currently include almost all areas of civil litigation, contract review and drafting and limited areas of criminal defense.  Mr. Alley’s practice routinely finds him in courts in Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Knox, Loudon, McMinn, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier and Union Counties representing both Tennesseans and out-of-state clients.

In addition to being licensed to practice law in all Tennessee state courts, Mr. Alley is currently admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Tennessee, the U.S. Court of Appeals, 6th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

I endorse this lawyer. Keith has always been a zealous advocate for his clients. Rarely do I see someone work so hard for his clients regardless of size of the case or the amount at stake. That's the sign of a good man doing a good job and I have a tremendous amount of respect for a lawyer like that and would have no hesitation in referring him any case. He is knowledgeable and skilled in what he does and he takes the time to do it right.
