My first mistake when hiring Mr. Wood, was hiring Mr. Wood
I paid my money to this man, to help me with my custody case and he screwed it up by being ill prepared and he was ill prepared because he didn't do ANYTHING.
I did all my own research, printed everything out for him and brought it with me, for him to have for the hearing.
I would send him an email and never hear from him, so I'd then have to call his office and wouldn't get a response from him but rather his "legal staff" who could never give me a definite answer to any of my questions, except to say "I'm not for sure, so don't quote me...."
When I would actually hear something back, I never felt confident that he and his staff knew what they were talking about, so I would then have to call the courts/clerk of courts etc etc and double check, only to find that Mr. Wood and his staff DIDN'T know what they were talking about.
When we showed up to the hearing, he only had one plan of attack which, SURPRISE, was a big fail because my ex ended up with custody and after the hearing, had the audacity to say "Well, I hope you don't feel like I didn't do my job as your lawyer." Really???
I'm fairly certain he printed his degree off the internet and slapped it in a Wal-Mart frame.
Don't waste your time OR your money....you'd be better off hiring a monkey.
Mr. Wood has handled two cases for me. They both turned out in my favor. I am well pleased with this professionalism. He kept me informed, was up front and honest about my case and was reasonably enough to retain him twice. He is also compassionate, I remember crying during court one day and he hugged and consoled me (a gold star for that one.) If ever I need a family law attorney it will be Mr. Wood.
Would not respond to email or phone calls, then he was quite prompt. He was unprepared for my hearing, never looked at the evidence I gave him to present, underestimated the opposing counsel's abilities, had no finesse, seemed lost in court and unengaged in my case. Waste of time, effort and money.
Mr.Woods is trustworthy, honest, fair and knows the law. He has dealt with numerous legal issues of mine personally over the years including child custody, divorce, property division and restraining orders. Mr.Woods is able to handle complex legal issues and is fair, reasonable and fights for his clients. Mr. Woods is a certified chid evaluator and it became clear he is genuine in his pursuit advocating for a parent in a child's best interest.
he took my exwife to court and took care of business, even the judge at the final hearing, commented on the great preparation of my case and that i chose a good lawyer.
he helped me get a 50/50 custody with my girl last year and now has helped me iron out issues in the last recent month in the same case.
He was straight up with me in regards to my case. I had a great challenge in getting custody of my boy. And we won! Now my boy don't live in unsafe conditions, because of him. He is the best!
