I worked my way through law school as a compute programmer, so have a background in technology and have been leading the field in use of technology for trial and practice management.
Before law school, I was an interrogator in the U.S. Army for 7 years. I taught interrogation for three years. That was back when we followed international law and the interrogation was all psychology based. The Army also taught me Arabic and Hungarian.
My father grew up on a small farm in Winnsboro, Texas, which is about an hour East of Dallas. I grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, with my father being a small business owner. I couldn't imagine working for an insurance company. While they need help too, I really enjoy working on the side of the people, and the 'little guy' that wouldn't have any help without a lawyer.
I started a law practice straight out of law school and have gone from a general practice to a litigation practice.
I work on litigation skills by going to National conferences, state conferences and regional conferences. I'm on the Board of Governor's for the Southern Trial Lawyer's Association.
I do a lot to see how we can use technology to be better trial lawyers. I have blogs at , and .
As for hobbies, I enjoy gadgets, including ultra-light laptops, but have lately been focusing on Apple products. We have a mac-mini attached to our tv with a 5.5 terabyte Drobo, that currently holds over 350 movies and 2,300 tv episodes (mostly hour length) and is only a quarter full.
I love watching hour long tv episodes on my iPhone while doing cardio on the elliptical and like some of the other features of the iPhone.
My lovely wife, Jennifer and two delightful daughters (Jessica, 6 and Erica 3) take up the rest of my time. Reading with them, playing games and general watching them grow up is one of my biggest hobbies.
I also enjoy reading books about business, trial techniques, legal history, cognitive psychology, and science fiction.
But, I don't have nearly as many hobbies since becoming an attorney and a father. My beer drinking has had to take a back seat.

I was told several times that paperwork had been mailed out and come to find out the paperwork had not even been completed yet. I have never been treated this bad & ignore...
