"When I met personally with Alfred A Abel in discussing my potential bankruptcy, I felt secure in the knowledge that I was going to get the best service that I could have hoped for. I had special circumstatnces in that I was going to be out of the country for most of the process due to family reasons. I communicated with Mr Abel and his staff via email wonderfully. Even though we had a time difference in our correspondence there were never questions that had gone unanswered. When preparing for my hearing, Mr Abel was extrememly informative and honest. Especially when it got complicated; I panicked but they took control when I could not reach Alfred and I remain grateful for their poise and professionalism at a critical time.

It happened one day; I just realized I was in over my head. Between being laid off for 18 months and then finally finding a position in retail taking a 2/3 cut in pay, I knew I was in deep. I had a car accident. It was not my fault, but the insurance company wouldn't agree that their driver caused it. Mr. Abel settled the case in about 6 months and I heard from other people I know that's pretty fast. He got us all the insurance that the other driver had and got my lost wages and car damage too.

We loaned money to a business several years ago and then the business and the owner filed for bankruptcy. Our collateral was personal property, and we were sure the business got rid of it and we would be unsecured, and lose the full amount of our loan. We hired this lawyer and he was great. The bankruptcy trustee tried to disallow our security interest, and we proved that the debtor still had it and we were fully secured. Not only did we get paid in full but we got interest too, even the interest that accumulated during the bankruptcy case. It is the best result we ever got on one of our loans that went into default and then bankruptcy. He gets my highest recommendation.

Mr. Able graciously responded to a legal question that I had posted on Avvo. He took the time to carefully read the details I had provided and offered a very specific and insightful strategy on how to defend myself in civil court. Because of his help I was able to obtain judgment in my favor. I am very grateful for his time and input through the Avvo website.

1st of all, Mr. Abel is very pleasant and her was very upfront about everything!!! I simply had to get the ball rolling with today's laywer's rates (I highly recommend you pay the fees in full so you can really get the ball rolling fast as I did!!!). Everything Mr. Abel said was true and NO PROBLEMS at all!!! No extra fees or anything!!! My case was an open and shut case since my debt to income ratio was like 80% to 20% in comparison. But too bad school loans are almost impossible to have dischrged :-( !!! But He saved me around $80,000 total :-) !!! Despite having a mark on my credit, Mr. Abel has followed up nicely to help me get on my feet to rebuild my credit. In addition, his staff were also very friendly, easy going, caring and helpful. Mr. Abel also followed up after the case was closed and I ***HIGHLY*** recommend that you hire him!!!
