When a patient finds themselves in the unfortunate position of requiring a medical Malpractice Attorney there's no one in New York State that I can recommend higher than John Fisher. Top notch!

John Fisher helped me more than any other lawyer I consulted following my daughter's death. He filed all necessary court papers in a timely manner, had his medical expert review all the hospital records, and found the hospital had deviated from standards of care. Although he ultimately decided not to take the case, for reasons that have more to do with NY State law than justice, John thoughtfully explained all the issues to me and kept the door open to my engaging another attorney. For all this, he charged me nothing.

My daughter had a stillborn baby in Texas, and even though Mr. John Fisher doesnt practice in Texas he listened to me and gave a lawyer that I could possibly use in Texas. Also, briefly explained to me about Malpractice Texas Laws.

People come to John Fisher because they are in crisis: either themselves or a loved one has been wronged. In a calm and caring way he listens to you and responds like a expert friend. He is very responsive: he returns calls promptly and answers your questions. My case could not be resolved in court. But if it could, my lawyer would be Mr. Fisher

John was forthright and honest in his treatment of my case. I only wish that he could have taken over the situation...I feel it would be 'wrapped' up and settled in a short time. I wish him great success and happiness....

This amazing man is far more than Attorney...We met with John to see if there was merit for a malpractice case re; Delay of diagnosis. He knows what he's talking about. Complete respect for him for being so direct. Many Attorneys want you drooling out of their hand.
He is reviewing my husbands records and promised us nothing. The fact that the sincerity and expedious of the review of this matter speaks volumes. Contact made by phone in the A.M and seen later that evening just shows what you get.

Mr. Fisher agreed to review a family medical malpractice case because I am unhappy with my present attorney. He did not take the case, but still provided a through explanation and even offered to refer to another attorney. As a 3rd year law student, it's good to know that he believes in the profession and conducts himself accordingly. Unfortunately, he seems to be the exception rather than the rule.

Recently I was doing research on the internet on Medicare Liens and I came upon a piece John Fisher wrote regarding the above mentioned subject. In addition i also used the chat feature and corresponded with a wonderful woman regarding My 77 year old mom's slip and fall case which resulted in a broken hip. She assured me that Mr. Fisher was the person who would be able to assist me with information and that he would contact me shortly. Well he contacted me the same day.
I stated in my title of this review that John Fisher was a man with a higher calling. He spoke with me about my moms case, gave me advise and facts and gave me his telephone # and assured me I could speak to him at any time if I had more questions. He then called me a couple of days later to follow up with me, and he returned my phone calls, without expecting any montary reward. This is truly a man with integrity who believes in justice and fairness for All!

Mr. Fisher was very helpful, and took out his personal time to converse with me about my case. I feel more informed about my situation than I was before I spoke with him. I would highly recommend him for being a knowledgeable Attorney. Thank you Mr. Fisher for you time and patients.

I worked for John Fisher for several years while he was an associate attorney, and later a partner at the firm. John is conscientious, caring and capable. He truly cares about each and every client and works very hard on his cases. At trial he is prepared, intense, and zealously represents his clients.

After a family tragedy we were searching for an attorney who would provide us with an honest assessment of a potential medical malpractice suit. By way of Texas and Washington D.C. we were referred to Mr. Fisher by an attorney and a Ph.d in behavioral health who described him as an expert in cases involving mental health issues.
From my initial contact through email and receipt of a legal opinion that included a review of the medical record by an expert, Mr. Fisher was able to provide the necessary guidence my family needed to make the next step decision in 10 days.
He gave us a gift. The gift was to not leave us languishing for weeks in our pain before receiving an answer. We are grateful for his honesty, integrity, dillegence and professionalism.

Mr. Fisher is one of the few attorneys who cares more about his clients than he does his own career. He has a clear understanding of patients' rights and is interested in going the extra mile to exercise them. I would certainly recommend this attorney, especially if you are a patient who has suffered some kind of injustice on the part of the health care system.

I contacted John to ask for help with a medical malpractice case. He returned my call in a timely manner. I submitted my medical records to him, which he read and spoke to me about, also in a timely manner.
After John spoke with his medical expert, he felt he could not accept my case; however, he made sure to let me know what my rights were in terms of writing a medical record addendum and filing a formal complaint with the state. He even proofread my addendum and made some helpful suggestions. John also mailed back my records to me as I had requested.

Mr. Fisher is the best lawyer I have had so far. One completely lost a P/I case, after dismissing the original defendant by mistake. Another was overloaded, missed dates, causing a medical malpractice case to be dismissed after advising me not to take an offer to settle, lied to the bar about the basis of a complaint I made, and then was suspended from practicing, put on probation, and required to take an ethics course because several other people had bar complaints against him that were sustained. Another wanted me to retain him but refused to put his promised representations in the fee agreement either because they were illegal or because he did not intend to perform what he promised.
I currently have three other attorneys who represent me in two contract cases where the amount in controversy in both may be in the millions, they are skilled, but not very good at keeping me informed or even responding to me. I have had other lawyers help me with small simple cases and they were good.
An opposing attorney one time had an amphetamine and coke problem, he was dishonest overall and was so bold he fabricated evidence. He was eventually busted, and declined to renew his license because client complaints he improperly took money out of his trust account were sustained. Who knows what he is doing now, Maybe selling cars.
Always check with the Bar to for discipline, or to ensure an attorney is still even currently licensed!
