Case Conclusion Date:April 24, 2008
Practice Area:Trademark Infringement
Outcome:Case settled in client's favor
Description:A highly popular chain of ethnic restaurants retained us to stop their former manager from opening a similar restaurant with nearly identical menu. We brought an injunction and within 60 days and only one appearnace before a federal judge, the defendant settled. In the settlement, not only did they agree to cease and desist from copying anything from our clients, they had to destroy or give to our client all their unused menus, napkins, logos, signs, awnings, etc. ALso, they had to reimburse our client's legal expenses and court fees so that in the end it did not cost the client.
