Ms. Donnelly provided me with truly excellent, professional, and compassionate representation in a very stressful custody/visitation matter. From our initial meeting, through conferences, drafting documents, and representation in court, Jennifer captured the essence of how I wanted to handle custody, parenting time, and a parenting plan, both legally and personally. It was important to me to respect the ongoing interpersonal realities of bringing an action in court, while preserving the best opportunities for cooperation down the road. Ms. Donnelly helped make that possible in a way that exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend her and her colleagues at BDG who also worked on my case.
As I was trying to find an attorney to solve family law issues, I came across my old lawyer, Ms. Donnelly. Years back when I got divorced, she worked for legal aid, and did an awful job representing me, was it because it was free? maybe, but the consequences of her lack of help to me as her client, are still present to this day, thus why I'm trying to seek an attorney to revert back things I should have never signed. She never took the time to explain my legal rights or the consequences, or to even point me in the right direction for MY benefit, instead she actually agreed to the other lawyer request, and actually told me it was ok to sign papers that took away many of my rights. My children and I have suffered for it financially and emotionally. I think she didn't meant to do me wrong, but as a lawyer, she should have known that a woman with children undergoing divorce needs as much help as she can, and she did the contrary for me. Reading all the raves about her, I wonder if she is doing better because of experience now, or because she is actually getting paid instead of working for low wages at legal aid.
Jennifer explained everything about my divorce case on our first meeting and I left pretty confident and knowledgeable about my rights and the whole process.
Everything went very smooth and only had to go see her twice, including the initial consultation.
Very good communication, kept me up to date and e-mailed any forms that needed my signature.
Overall very happy with her.
Words can not express how grateful I am to Jennifer because the first time I ever went to court the attorney I had left a very bad taste in my mouth by being an hour late and then rushing me with signing many documents which I felt should have been done prior to our court date. Jennifer on the other hand handled my case like a true professional, everything was explained all i's were dotted and I felt very comfortable going into court with her. I highly recommend her.
