I used a big law firm for my divorce and it was ungodly expensive and not a great experience. I had a job loss and then reduction in salary and I needed to modify child support. I started pro se and then at the last minute (like 2 business days before the court date) I brought Zach in. Clearly I shou...ld have hired him weeks before but he still did an amazing job. Unfortunately for me, my divorce case has entailed every nightmare scenario from false allegations of abuse to parental alienation. Searching for anything resembling justice, I went through four attorneys before hiring Mr. Kowalski. I often wonder how my life would be different had he been the firs...t one I hired. Unlike the other attorneys, Mr. Kowalski was not interested in playing to my emotions (and by extension, my wallet) by bad mouthing my ex-wife, her attorney, etc. He keeps his eye on the ball and laid out my options at every step to include the pros and cons and the cost of each option. He also advised me at times to see beyond the immediate crisis and my knee jerk reaction to how it might affect my relationship with my son when he's a man and no longer under her control. In the court room, he is always thoroughly prepared. He's not a showman, using the false outrage and stunts of other attorneys, which I feel often backfires on their clients. Having been through several attorneys, I would highly recommend Mr. Kowalski. I would also advise not to let his relative youth dissuade you. I found older attorneys I hired to be lazy, quite frankly.
