I come from a family of teachers. But I prefer to think of them as "professional educators." And, in many ways, that is what I am: a "professional educator." As a lawyer, I educate clients on their rights and give them advice on how to handle a given situation. I educate judges and juries on the applicable law and why they should reach a particular conclusion. The educator mindset has tremendous value in my profession.
