Stephanie Renee Holan

I worked with Stephanie Holan on my family law case. While the case ultimately reached a final order, communication throughout the process was difficult. I often had to follow up multiple times to receive updates about my case, including information about the status of the final order after the heari...ng. I recently learned that the final order had been submitted without prior communication to me, which was surprising given that it involved important decisions about my child. As a client, timely communication and transparency are very important in family law matters. I appreciate the work that was done on the case, but I would have preferred clearer communication and updates during the process.

I am extremely dissatisfied with Stephanie Holan’s representation, as she failed to prioritize my case after being hired. Her negligence resulted in significant losses, and now my child is placed in a perilous situation every other weekend. Had she been transparent with me, I could have secured a mor...e dedicated attorney. During her three week tenure, Stephanie Holan failed to take any action regarding my case. Despite frequent calls to her office, I was unable to reach her. I do not recommend Stephanie Holan. She will make many empty promises and she will not deliver on any of them.

I was connected with Ms. Holan through ARAG legal services through my work benefits. It should have been a simple update to an outdated will, but 7 months later, I just now received the documents to be notarized on line. Her communication skills are terrible, and she'd tell me she would call the next... day, and never would. She would say I'd have the documents by the end if the day, and they would not be sent. I would send professional inquiries about the status of my documents, and her responses were nasty and childish, like I was the problem. I have worked with attorneys inside and outside my work environment, and she is the most unprofessional lawyer I have ever encountered.

I was connected with Stephanie after initially hiring another firm through my legal plan at work. They shuddered their doors and punted me to Stephanie for two cases: one a traffic case, one a legal name change for my minor child. For over a month I heard nothing on either one, so I called the t...raffic court to find out if I had a hearing scheduled and when; my previous attorney was also extremely poor at communicating and I couldn't get anything out of Stephanie, so I was getting a little nervous. Well, I learned that I did in fact have a hearing and it was in TWO days. They also informed me that they did not have Stephanie on record as my attorney so didn't have her information to notify her of the hearing. So she hadn't even contacted them yet and was not aware of my hearing, which probably would have been missed if I hadn't picked up the phone. When I informed her of the hearing, she tried to act like she knew but it's simply not possible since the court hadn't notified her. So #1: she lies. Then I asked her to request a copy of the officer's dashcam footage for months and I got no response. When I asked for updates, I was basically told "Don't call us, we'll call you." Wow. After MONTHS of asking for updates on the name change, I finally expressed how frustrated and dissatisfied I was and got the first decent email of the entire engagement from Stephanie. It basically said she understood the frustration and she would "check" where the name change case was (all I'd asked is if the request had actually been FILED, but... shouldn't she know that?). Nearly a week later and no "update" as promised, so I decided to move on, but before I had the new attorney, she did send another email that chastised me because a form I'd completed was supposedly not complete and now all the delays were MY fault (she'd had these forms for months and I'd even asked for confirmation of receipt and that everything was ok and got NOTHING; zero response). So that's when I told her "you're done". And of course, I got more emails after I fired her than I did the entire time she was supposedly "working" for me. She criticized me as too impatient and unreasonable and told me what a mistake I was making in not just dealing with her deception and ineptitude (LOL). Sorry, Steph, but... hard pass. Bottom line: She lies and has the absolute worst communication. When you do get it, expect curt and rude. No attention to detail and no follow through. RUN RUN RUN away from this woman.
