Shukriyah Amal Satterfield

I am an attorney, solo practitioner, who fights for justice, equality, diversity, and inclusion. Prior to starting my own practice, I was a Maryland Public Defender, and I will always be a public defender at heart. Most of my practice is Criminal Defense, but I also practice in the areas of Personal Injury, Guardianship, and Wills & Estates. I earned my B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, College Park. Subsequently, I went on to graduate cum laude from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law.

I am an active member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Maryland Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Additionally, I serve on the Executive Board for the Alliance of Black Women Attorneys. Whenever time permits, I perform low bono or pro bono services through the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland, Maryland Volunteer Lawyer Services, and Street Law Inc. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, friends, and listening to music.
