By being well-versed in the areas of matrimonial law, estate planning, and small business, I am able to anticipate how decisions in one area of the law will have a positive or negative impact on clients in other areas of the law.
While litigation is necessary in some matrimonial and family law cases, I do not believe litigation should be the "go to" process to resolve a dispute involving families. I am a trained collaborative attorney and mediator which enables my clients to choose a process to resolve their matter which is best suited for their unique circumstances. Many of my clients choose mediation or collaborative over litigation as they are empowered to maintain control over decisions which will have a profound impact on their children and finances.
My representation in estate planning matters goes far beyond simply drafting Wills and Trusts. I work with my clients and their financial advisors to ensure they have a well-rounded plan which takes into consideration long-term care, insurance, taxes, and additional factors relevant to the dynamics of their families and businesses.

Highly recommended for collaborative divorce.
I hired Sarah after several initial meetings with other collaborative attorneys. After much contemplation, I felt she could best represent my ideals and she geniuenly cared. Besides being a true professional she also sympathetic to your state-of-mind. Understanding you are experiencing so much emoti...

Most helpful professional I've dealt with.
Sarah Escolas did my divorce process. It was a very pain free process. She informed me of everything I needed to do and took care of the rest. After it was all said and done, everything had gone according to what she had told me, which is the best thing you can ask for in these situations. She...

Not Good
Sarah was no help to me in my divorce case. She told me to go to court by myself and I got killed. I wound up firing her and getting another lawyer
Due to attorney-client confidentially I cannot comment on the facts of this particular case. However, I can explain limited assistance representation which was the basis of the agreement between my previous client and I. I understand legal representation can be very expensive and to help alleviate some of the costs I offer clients representation through limited assistance representation ("LAR"). In Massachusetts an attorney can assist clients on a limited basis in order to allow clients to receive legal advice while working within the means of their budget. Some of my clients can afford only legal advice, others can afford legal advice and drafting documents, and other clients can afford only representation at a particular hearing. The initial fee agreement dictates my role in the case. Therefore, if the agreement states I am only to provide legal advice and draft documents that is what I will do unless the agreement is amended. The majority of my practice is centered around family law. My clients place tremendous trust in my hands which I do not take lightly. I understand their lives are greatly impacted by agreements and judgments and do my best to ensure their rights are protected during the judicial process. I work zealously for my clients and will continue to do so. If you are considering contacting me regarding your case but are concerned about the comment posted above I encourage you to contact my office to learn more about my practice and how I truly treat my clients. You may reach my office at (508) 983-1447 or can contact me at [email protected]. Thank you for taking the time to read my response.
"Sarah is skilled in all matters of family law including, but not limited to, divorce, child custody, child support, will drafting and estate planning. Sarah is an excellent negotiator and is tough for her clients when needed. As a mediator she provides her clients with superb advice. I strongly recommend Sarah if you are seeking a mediator or family law attorney."
