Biography
By being well-versed in the areas of matrimonial law, estate planning, and small business, I am able to anticipate how decisions in one area of the law will have a positive or negative impact on clients in other areas of the law.
While litigation is necessary in some matrimonial and family law cases, I do not believe litigation should be the "go to" process to resolve a dispute involving families. I am a trained collaborative attorney and mediator which enables my clients to choose a process to resolve their matter which is best suited for their unique circumstances. Many of my clients choose mediation or collaborative over litigation as they are empowered to maintain control over decisions which will have a profound impact on their children and finances.
My representation in estate planning matters goes far beyond simply drafting Wills and Trusts. I work with my clients and their financial advisors to ensure they have a well-rounded plan which takes into consideration long-term care, insurance, taxes, and additional factors relevant to the dynamics of their families and businesses.
