Rolando E. Rodriguez was born in Caracas, Venezuela. He came to South Florida at the age of 13. He attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. He graduated with a B.S. in Biology in 2000 and obtained a biotechnology certificate in 2001. In 2008 Rolando joined the United State Navy. Following his enlistment in the United States Navy he finally achieved his dream of United States Citizenship. He is currently assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion-14 Headquartered in Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida. In January 2009 Rolando enrolled at Florida Coastal School of Law where he was recipient of Governor’s Scholarship, a member of the schools Moot Court Team and a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society. He was also a founding member and past President of the Military Law Society. Rolando was actively involved in helping others and graduated with the Pro-Bono Honors. Rolando was also very involved with the Moot Court Honor Board. He competed at the Hispanic National Bar Association Moot Court Competition and the Rendigs National Products Liability Moot Court Competition. Following his admission to the Florida Bar Rolando had the distinct pleasure of serving his country in a deployment to Afghanistan where he served as the Acting Legal Officer for NMCB-14. There, he started to run as a hobby and competed in his long distance run, the Army’s 10 mile Shadow Run. Rolando currently practices law in Cocoa, Florida at Cantwell and Goldman P.A.
Rolando handles cases primarily in the areas real estate transactions, and immigration law. He is married to Mrs. Laura Rodriguez of seven years, and they currently reside in Palm Bay, Florida with their son Alexander who is 3 years old. Rolando is an avid runner, loves cooking gourmet meals for his families and water sports.
