Employment law

Sent a demand letter right away, the perpetrator went to jail and he sends the company a demand letter which only tip them off and made me look like I was chasing only the money. After he blew and hurt my case he then steps down because he gets fired from the company he works for. So he put me in a b...ad position. We had a case was almost foolproof as far as showing guilt and fault. Just so he can screw it up and make it look less strong. Would not recommend him at all then I find out he has brain cancer so maybe that's why he screwed up my case.

Dear Anonymous, You must have mixed me up with some other attorney. Whereas it is not uncommon in the field of Employment Law to send out a demand letter, there are always risks in making a demand to a former employer. These risks would have been explained to you if you were my client. An attorney does not unilaterally or automatically send a demand letter to the former employer without the client's informed consent. If you were my client as you stated you were, these risks would have been explained to you. The appearance of "chasing only the money" is always a risk when sending a demand letter. It is not something the attorney conjures up but is inherent to the process of making a demand for payment. I have never been fired from a "company" and have practiced law almost exclusively as a sole practitioner (except for a brief period in 2015). Furthermore, I have never suffered from brain cancer. Before you make such accusations you should confirm your facts. I have never been disciplined by a bar association in any state where I have been licensed and never had any complaints made against me as a sole practitioner. If you care to discuss this further, please contact my office. Sincerely, Robert

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I worked with Robert for almost a year on multiple employment cases being litigated in Federal Court. Not only is Robert a knowledgeable and skilled lawyer, he is a lawyer with integrity and a strong moral compass. His strong ethical base allows him to truly act in his client's best interest at all stages in the game. Robert is not afraid of the work that needs to be accomplished in order to get the best results for his client(s). He is tenacious, thorough and his creative solutions to complex issues are outside the traditional lawyer box. I would recommend Robert to anyone who is need of a strong employment attorney."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
