also known as Risa Colistro
Risa grew up in Portland and was first introduced to legal argument and thinking as a member of the Grant High School mock trial and constitution teams. While she enjoyed and excelled at these experiences, Risa never considered becoming a lawyer, until experiencing the importance of advocacy first-hand while helping a family member navigate a complicated health care system during a medical crises. Risa decided to become an attorney so that she could help others with her strong advocacy skills.
Risa graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, where she won several Moot Court-Mock Trial competitions and clerked at Washington County District Attorney’s office for two years, where she gained extensive courtroom and trial experience. Since her admission to the Bar, Risa has worked in several areas of law including crime victim rights, employment law, family law, student rights, civil rights, estate planning and business advising. Risa is proud of her pro bono legal work and has been recognized twice by the Oregon State Bar New Lawyers Division for this service.
In November 2011, Risa decided to strike out on her own and start her own practice and operated first as Davis Law Offices, LLC and then as Risa Davis, Attorney at Law, LLC. Risa brought her values of compassion, integrity, equity and community to her private practice. Risa viewed her relationships with clients as partnerships offered realistic advice while vigorously protecting client interests both in and out of the courtroom.
Risa transitioned out of private practice in 2018 to work within large companies who have made commitments to emprove their employment practices and employee experience.

If you want a helpful and supportive lawyer, you want Risa
Risa was recommended to me by a friend-of-a-friend and I am so glad I found her. She helped me with my divorce and was excellent. Risa is really empathetic and supportive - she spent time listening to me complain even when it probably wasn't necessary. My husband was a total jerk about our divorce...

review
I recently hired Risa Davis to represent me in my divorce. Unfortunately she seemed to be working for the other side. She worked hand in hand with my husbands attorney to use my past against me, ultimately leading to the loss of my children. She charged me for documents that she never prepared, fai...
Dear Georgia, Thank you for your comments. I am sorry your experience with our office was so negative. I have attempted to contact you to discuss your concerns one-on-one and see if there is anything I can do to remedy your dissatisfaction. Please feel free to contact me so we can set up an appointment to address your complaints. Thank you God for Mrs. Davis
Mrs. Davis helped me when I was in a pretty bad place. I always was getting in a lot of trouble with the police and at school. I was using drugs. I had a record and had gone through a couple of public defenders and a few schools. I met Mrs. Davis when my mom got a restraining order (not against m...
"Risa is a brilliant, knowledgeable, and tireless advocate. I have seen her in the courtroom, which is to say that I have seen her in her element. From what I have seen of Risa's talents and abilities, I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for an attorney who confronts challenges with zeal and enthusiasm."
