I talked to Mr. Hartley about two weeks ago about a protection order that I had been severed. It was what I thought was short notice. He took me in for a consult and told me what could happen, some things that I didn't want to hear. But he laid it all out to me and he would represent me if I choos...e to have him. He was right up front on everything nothing hiding. What he would charge if i hired him. and what it would cost if it went to a trial. Well I hired Mr. Hartley the smartest thing I could have done. Well when we went to court he talked to the other party and got the protection order dismissed. I'm very happy for both sides. Mr. Hartley did an excellent job from start to finish while guiding me through the Judicial process of being charged with a Criminal OUI. He provided a clear and concise outline of the situation as a whole, and possible next steps. He effectively communicated different options and what the implic...ations/outcomes of those options could be. He inspired confidence through his knowledge and actions which instilled trust in my family and I. I am very pleased with Mr. Hartley's service. As a non-resident of Maine and someone who never had a run-in with the law before, I was completely lost when I needed help after a theft incident.
