Rhonda Young is an outstanding attorney that diesn’t give up and she’s partnered herself with a paralegal by the name of Ashley with the same work ethic so together they are phenomenal! Rhonda got me an absolute divorce and custody of my children that many told me was not possible. Not only was I ...turned down by greater than a dozen attorneys over the course of three years after stringing me along, Rhonda didn’t hesitate. She accepted my case and was confused as to why I was turned down by so many. Yes, my case was complicated, but, Rhonda did not let that complication hinder her ability to help her client in need. I was desperate and crying in her office at the mere fact that she wasn’t saying “no” like the others before her. I was married to a man that tried to kill me and my three children. Although his first attempt was not successful, I was at that time able to have him involuntary committed and get a temporary restraining order. After his time served in the mental institution and a diagnosis of bipolar disorder the judge said he was cured because they gave him meds so I was not granted a permanent order at the time. I was forced to move. Next up he chased me in the parking lot of my job, harrassed me in other placed an another restraining order was placed in Wake County. I was actually granted the order this time.. Then, he tried to kill me again by chasing me in a motorcycle/moped whatever while I was driving with a weapon in a high speed chase while the police was chasing him. This guy had so many chances at my life. Long story short. He was eventually incarcerated for his crimes, but, instead of serving his entire sentence, we found out he had over stayed a Visa and was in the country illegally, therefore ICE deported him. You would think that since we were victims it would be a slam dunk, but, Noooooo, it wasn’t. Rhonda pulled out all the stops. Sent a subpoena to ICE to no avail, secured a PI, made several attempts to send to his home country, everything!!! She did NOT give up. I did not have to give up my beautiful children, my life, or half of my 401K to this man who tried to end our lives! Although I know mental illness is real, you must be willing to do something about it. Thanks to Rhonda for not giving up!!! This is no ordinary recommendation, we are fortunate to be alive and I very easily could have been stuck married to him and not had custody of my children. We parted ways March, 2012. The divorce was final 10/27/17. I will get custody of my children this Friday 11/3/17. I’m crying as I write this. Please select Rhonda and Ashley. I contacted this firm to represent me in a car accident. They asked me to sign medical release forms and I did so that they could obtain my medical records. I never received the opportunity to speak with the attorney at any time. I spoke with her para legal whom I advised of all of the occurrences of... my case. They never contacted me back with any updates. After about three weeks I reached out to the firm and again spoke to the paralegal who advised me that they would not be able to represent me. Had I not reached back out to the firm I guess I would still be waiting on someone to contact me. This was very unprofessional and I am very disappointed in this firm. Please think twice before choosing them to represent you. The attorney is never available to talk to the clients!
