Biography
After 23 years of practicing law, and 33 years in law enforcement, Ray has retired due to health issues.
Ray received his law degree, with honors, from Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law in Macon, Georgia, and his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of South Carolina. Prior to entering private practice as a lawyer, Ray worked as an Assistant Solicitor (prosecutor) in the Solicitor's Office of the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Charleston and also served as director of the adult drug court for Charleston County.
Ray Lord's varied professional background enables him to offer his clients an uncommon ability to understand the law from multiple perspectives. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ray served as a deputy sheriff and homicide investigator. As a law enforcement officer, Ray studied federal, state and local laws, police procedures, self-defense, arrest techniques and firearms training, graduating first in his class from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy in 1989.

VERY satisfied from west palm beach
Mr. Lord represented my wife and I in two counties for speeding infractions we received while we were on vacation. One phone call is all it took. Being out of state was uncomfortable and a clean driving record so important to my vocation. Ray was quick to respond and got a 6 point ticket reduced to 0 points. Also reduced my fines and court costs close to 80%. Officially my South Carolina go to guy!!!

Don't hire him.
I got a speeding ticket in South Carolina . Hired him for that matter. After court hearing he told me that i didn't get any points. But that was a lie he just paid my fine and I got points on my license. Tried to contact him but he never answerd. Very disappointed .
