Biography
After 23 years of practicing law, and 33 years in law enforcement, Ray has retired due to health issues.
Ray received his law degree, with honors, from Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law in Macon, Georgia, and his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of South Carolina. Prior to entering private practice as a lawyer, Ray worked as an Assistant Solicitor (prosecutor) in the Solicitor's Office of the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Charleston and also served as director of the adult drug court for Charleston County.
Ray Lord's varied professional background enables him to offer his clients an uncommon ability to understand the law from multiple perspectives. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ray served as a deputy sheriff and homicide investigator. As a law enforcement officer, Ray studied federal, state and local laws, police procedures, self-defense, arrest techniques and firearms training, graduating first in his class from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy in 1989.

Exceptional Service
I reside in NC and received a speeding ticket when going through SC. I contacted Mr. Lord with little time before my court date-only one week- and he was very prompt and efficient. If it wasn't for Ray Lord, I would have had points on my record, my insurance would've gone to the roof and paid a huge amount. With his help he reduce me to also little to no cost, no points on my record and my insurance hasn't gone up. Thank you ray for saving me money

wow! really..
I cant believe this was so easy- I had a 92 in a 55..oops. Lord was able to get it reduced to 11 over, with a minimal fee I was able to pay online to the county. Its done. I'm so relived and grateful-- now I just need to invest a good radar detector.
