Got a felony hit and run - damages were just 57 dollars
I got a felony 9 years ago for a hit and run whereas the damages were a mere 57 dollars ! Who gets a felony for this ? I did have prior misdemeanours- yes. But the victim had only a 57 dollar medical bill. She infact didn't understand why they were doing this to me. I did not understand it either...

Replied last May 21, 2020While it is difficult to respond to something that may have happened 9 years ago, I am sorry to hear that any former client is unhappy with my services, even if I did everything I could given the facts of a case. Since this occurred when I was an employee at another law firm, I should also clarify that any fee paid was decided by my employer at the time.
