Bad

Very Very Very bad attorney.. They get mad if you call n ask about what they are doing with my case.. Very unprofessional.. I tell them what I want done on my immigration case n they don't care to what I have to say.. The case was denyed cause of all the things they did wrong.., in the denyal notic...e it outlined all the things required n why n it showed all the stuff the law firm did not do... At one time they ask me what should be done when doing the case.. I could never speak to a person cause they get upset n said to log in and text online,, Beware of this unprofessional place.. Go elsewhere.. I had another attorney look at the denyal notice n he said that there so many screw ups on there part.. Not worth the $5,500 I spent for them.. Plz everybody look to another attorney..

Dear Mr. Reed We're very sorry to hear your case was denied. According to our records it was denied in November of 2015. With any denial we reach out to our clients to discuss what has occurred and the client's options. We did so on your matter several times during the week immediately following the receipt of the denial. We never heard from you. I'm wondering why you're now posting a review more than six months later and we still haven't spoken? My staff and I take calls all day long from current and prospective clients alike. I'm not sure why you haven't called us. I appreciate that other attorneys will have other points of of view just like doctors have different treatment plans for their patients. We're still happy to discuss this denial with you even after you've left this review. You still have time to file a federal court appeal using the APA six year jurisdiction clause. This would be the next step in the process for your case. We only want what is best for our clients so please do give us a call at the office. Thanks so much.

Hi Yasir First and foremost, I'm very upset to hear you're having issues with your immigration status. I’ve performed a review of our files and found your case. You have not been accurate with your submission to Avvo. You were not just charged with Aggravated Assault and Domestic Violence but also with Kidnapping, Felonious Assault. On March 11, 2010 you came to our office and asked for some general advice regarding the immigration consequences of your criminal case. We discussed the different possibilities and I encouraged you to retain us for a full analysis of the immigration consequences of your criminal case, advice and counsel with your criminal defense lawyer and to represent you in removal proceedings. You declined to hire us. According to Court Records, on March 24, 2010, you plead guilty to Aggravated Assault and all other charges were dropped. Our office was in no way your representative and was never in contact with your criminal defense attorney. In fact, until you posted this review, we haven’t heard from you. In general, Aggravated Assault can be found to be a crime of violence, an aggravated felony and can cause removal via deportation. Domestic violence generally causes removal via deportation. In fact, all of the charges you were facing carried deportation consequences as well as issues with admission to the U.S. upon return from international travel. They also can lead to detention while in removal proceedings and denial of a naturalization application. Again, based on court records, it appears you may have traveled outside the U.S. while on probation. This was a violation of your probation and as well subjected you to a different set of immigration circumstances. An LPR traveling internationally with a criminal conviction subjects you to a different set of laws as you’re considered a returning resident seeking a new admission. Thus, the consequences regarding deportation would not attach as you would be charged as an arriving alien and subject to the grounds of inadmissibility not deportability. It appears from your review, you failed to mention the reason for your detention. I can only surmise why you are now in Removal proceedings as I am not your attorney. There are many ways a foreign national with a criminal history may have removal concerns and this was not the first time in which you requested a withdrawal of your guilty plea. While I can certainly understand your frustration Yasir, I was never hired to advise you as to all of your criminal and immigration matters on a continuing basis. If you would like, I would be willing to assist you after a review of all the facts that have come to light since 2010. I certainly wish you the best should you not wish to contact me.

Overpriced, poor effort

This attorney charged us 2/3 of our retainer on phone calls and one typed correspondence to a criminal attorney. Even calls made to his legal assistants are billed. He did not return my emails or calls for ten days when it was time to return my retainer. After contacting the Better Business Bureau m...y unused retainer was returned.

Unprofessional and does not know the laws. AVOID.

I hired Mr. Eichorn to help file immigration papers for my Japanese wife on a fixed contract. I hired a lawyer because she was once refused entry to the US and I thought we would have trouble. We were both living in New Zealand and wanted to do everything from there. Mr. Eichorn said we could. We... then hired Mr. Eichron and started the process. Everything was supposed to be done through email and a couple phone conferences (which he later refused to take). Immediately we had trouble with his firm. No initial starter email was sent, no formal instructions on what was going to happen, no road map laid out. He was very condescending to us every time we asked a question and his staff made numerous amounts of mistakes (that we were charged for). Even though I was the customer, I tried to go along with his demands. 4 months later, way too much time wasted, and zero progress, Mr. Eichorn informed us that the laws were going to change soon and that he didn't want us to file yet because of this. I asked him why and did not receive a response. I looked into the change and found out that we could file directly to the NZ consulate. Mr. Eichorn never suggested this and said we should file in the US. After asking advice on this topic, Mr. Eichorn told us we asked too many questions, we were not profitable for his firm, and said that if we wanted to continue that we would need to give him more money. We then went separate ways. Mr. Eichorn charged me a ridiculous amount of money for almost no work completed. We were also charged for him to look up laws for filing abroad. Something he said we could do before we signed a contract. After parting ways, I went against Mr. Eichorn's advice and filed directly with the consulate in Auckland. The people there were very friendly and we had no trouble getting an immigration visa for my wife in less than 3 months. This lawyer will overcharge you, look at you as strictly an income, and possibly give you bad advice. I would no way recommend him to anyone. He wasted 4 months of our time and a lot of our money. On top of that, he does NOT have the knowledge. If you see other comments about him being smart, it's about him finding good ways to take your money.

"I endorse this lawyer. This lawyers contributions to this site are invaluable. I happily endorse this lawyers work, ability and charity to those asking for advice. Further, I like to endorse good lawyers, because I find the AVVO rating system to be dishonest and corrupt. Frequently, disgruntled litigants on the opposing side (not your clients) will bash a lawyer on this site, pretending to be "your" client. When this situation is brought to AVVO attention, Avvo refuses to do anything to investigate and remove the false, slanderous "client" reviews. AVVO is a mean petty internet blog site trying to make money off of lawyers, and does not care if the public receives truthful information."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
