Terrific Attorney

Mr. Paul Matthews is absolutely one of the best attorney's in NYC. He's hardworking, diligent, trustworthy, cares about his clients & Wins! He was my lawyer and won my court case. Mr. Matthews always fought tenaciously hard for me. Throughout every court proceeding & victory he explained everything... to me. Before or after every court date he always made time to speak with me and go over my case. He listens and fights for you. He always called if anything came up, answered every question I asked, even on weekends he'd call and respond. Mr. Matthews is a lawyer who is intelligent, very thorough and astute. A legal titan in his own right, he knows the law! Court was scary, stressful & at times confusing for me before he represented me. He saved me and my daughter's life! I can never thank him enough. Thank you again Mr. Matthews. You are a true gift to your clients, this world and the legal system. Thank God there are people like you left fighting for your clients and Winning!

Aesthetics don't dissapoint

This attorney was 18b and was awful. He ended up converting to the plaintiffs attitude toward me, perhaps influenced by the false allegations. My personal exoerience leads me to believe he does not have integrity. He told me of a joke he and the forensic consult had about the thing that was written ...about me, misrepresenting my character and the facts of the case. He expressed that he and the consult had a good chuckle on their own and the other sides behalf at my expense. Somehow I remember this most clearly as an indication of his loyalty and integrity as to his representation of me in the case against a covert narcissist who has manipulated the system using bully attorneys and triangulating all parties by corrupting them with money. So the inside joke was not justified. This attorney appears to have some character flaws as his appearance may indicate. Just my 2 sense.

This is why I am no longer taking court appointed cases. Assuming that I did represent this anonymous reviewer, I have no idea what he is talking about. Attorneys are not allowed to discuss open cases with forensic psychologists. Unfortunately a small percentage of court appointed clients have difficult or even hopeless cases and when they lose the only person they can find to blame is their lawyer. One of the biggest problem about taking court appointed work is that the clients don't choose you so tend to not trust you, while you don't get to choose or screen them and sometimes have to take clients with various mental health issues that make it difficult to build any kind of trust

Small Claims Court Lawyer

Paul Matthews is an excellent lawyer. He helped me with a small claims case. First, Paul was there. He came to court early so we could consult and he responded to all phone calls and text messages within 24 hours. Second, he helped me to focus on the facts of the case. He knows what will and will not... be relevant to the court. Third, and most importantly, Paul gave excellent advice. He understands how the system works and what needed to be done to present my case effectively. Best of all, with Paul Matthews as my lawyer, I won!
