As a first time home buyer and newlywed, I had many property questions. Mark S. I called Mr.Guralnick at his New Jersey (Cherry Hill office) The call was answer by a very polite receptionist, I left a message for Mr.Guralnick, asking for his help regarding a possible emergency custody of my daughter. Within a few hours Mr.Guralnick, had returned my call. I had explained my dir...e situation to him, and how dire the situation was, not only did he take the time to listen to me, he gave me a free consultation. And while he did not promise anything. He did assure me that he would do his best to help save my daughter. He had advised me that he was not in the state at the time due to a prior case that he was working on. However, he had a great staff that he would personally guide through the case. And that they did, One of the lawyers from the Law Firm contacted me soon after for setup a day and time for me to come into the office to speak and go over the case. That was within the week. A lawyer from the firm had sat with me and explained every step that would be taken and answered any and all questions I had asked. Even addressed the emotional side of the situation. He also assured me that he would also do his best and that Mr.Guralnick, himself was personally working with him on the case on an hour to hour basis. Soon after, we had filed for emergency custody, and went to court, (We had met at the court house early to review the process.) I was so nervous, again I was assured that everything will be handled. And it was, The Superior Court of New Jersey had ruled in favor of the emergency custody order! Finally my daughter was safe. Tears came to my eye as i think Mr.Guralnik's staff. That was just the first step that Mr.Guralnick, his staff and I had taken together. The next step was to gather information and file for Physical and Legal custody. This would ensue that my daughter would remain in my care, in a safe and loving environment. So we filed for that also. About a month later we were in court again and the same comfort and assurance was given again. Once again, the courts had ruled in our favor. My heart was put at ease. It was a moment I will never forget. I know I could not have protected my daughter without the help of Mr.Guralnick and his staff. While I am a great father. I am not a great lawyer like Mr.Guralnick. My prayers had been answered. I commend and thank them all not only for doing the best they could. I had the good fortune of retaining Mark S. Guralnick and his law firm after my first attorney committed malpractice. My first attorney missed critical deadlines in my case, failed to file my papers on time, never secured the services of an expert witness for me, and ended up getting my case dismisse...d. Mark took the time to show me how my case should have been conducted, to educate me on the court rules and procedures and the deadlines which my first lawyer should have followed. He then filed a lawsuit against the first lawyer. As you might expect, my first lawyer had his own defense team and they put up a good fight. But Mark was extremely resourceful in court, artfully cross-examining the attorney, as well as his paralegal staff. I have watched many TV shows featuring lawyers doing cross-examination, but I have never seen anybody cross-examine a witness so well as Mark handled the first lawyer and his staff. Needless to say, we won the case. I am extremely grateful to Mark for his hard work.
