Best Attorney for Unemployement Issues

I had consultations with several attorneys. I choose Monica because of her experience. Department of Employment Security (Unemployment) had advised me that I did not qualify for benefits paid to me in 2012, and that I owed them $12,000. I hired Monica and with her knowledge and guidance she won th...e case for me. I am so happy, because without an excellent attorney I might be paying DES back money that was rightfully due to me.

Monica Wilson has Integrity

I cannot explain in words how grateful I am to Monica Wilson. As a single mother, getting laid off has been devastating. I will not waste time by giving every detail, but I will say that I "refused" a job according to the laws of unemployment. The unemployment officers agreed with me, but the compan...y that offered me the job did not. So, I found myself having to attend an appeals hearing. One can imagine the stress and worry of going up against a large company, and the possibility of having to repay thousands of dollars that you do not have. I received letters from several lawyers wanting to represent me in my case. I called each one as well as researched them via the internet. I ended up choosing Monica Wilson because she was honest with me from the get go. She did not fill my head full of promises nor did she charge me for the initial consultation. I have to say that the thing I liked most about Ms. Wilson was her integrity. She beleives, as I do, that the truth matters. She did not ask me to lie. She did not try to convince me to "twist" things in order to win my appeal. Monica Wilson knows the law and she knows that the truth matters. She did not let my case be turned into a he said she said case. She stuck to the law and the truth. I won my appeal. Thank You Monica Wilson!

UI Appeal

Ms. Wilson is a top-notch attorney whose expertise during my UI appeal clearly helped me secure my UI benefits. Thanks to her I received 22 weeks of back unemployment pay yesterday!

Please Read and make an informed decision. Outcome of my hearing currently Unkonwn.

My experience with this attorney Moinca Wilson is that she is completely unprofessional and lacks the knowledge and compassion to be performing such a crucial role. Currently, I do not know if a decision was made in my favor or not in my unemployment appeal however, I can say is my experience with... this attorney was simply awful. During my hearing the employer “did not show” and I had several articles of evidence that should make the hearing case a slam dunk. Monica Wilson was very aware of each of these articles as we discussed them in a hearing prep in which I thought she was making case notes. During the hearing she ask three questions total, these were questions that the hearing officer had already asked prior. She never asked questions that I felt were key and that showed that the employer had an on going history of this same complaint. Unfortunately, as the claimant in the hearing I was unable to answer almost anything other than “yes” or “no” answer which prevented me from mentioning or adding on to important issues. Monica gave a very simple 10 second closing argument that I truly believe my five year old could have made. Monica did not even have the courtesy to follow up with a debriefing and after emailing her several times, I finally received a response that was open ended and no help at all. I contacted her by phone and was told that I have asked her to many questions to stop and calm down. Not once did I raise my voice or come close to having an attitude that was as unprofessional as hers. I felt the need to send this as a warning to all looking to choose an attorney for an unemployment hearing please do your research and please choose wisely. Please note I do not know if the hearing was made in my favor this review is done based solely on my evaluation of her as an attorney.

Unemployment denial

My job with a large hospital recently got outsourced. I did not take that job and my employer would not pay me unemployment and for two months I battled with this until I appealed it and hired Ms. Wilson. I had several lawyers contact me but I was so impressed with her that I hired her. She took my c...ase and I won. I am now receiving my benefits and if I had not hired her and just tried to do it on my own I don't think I would have had the outcome I got and rightfully so. I recommend her wholeheartedly. Thank you so much Ms. Wilson. You did it!
