Mom, Ex-wife, Realtor, Human

I liked Michelle from the first moment. She came as a reference from a very high-end divorce attorney in Saint Paul. I was leery at first, as I had had a difficult experience with a mediator that didn’t listen, didn’t care and was willing to accommodate my ex-husband‘s requests more than mine. Along ...with divorce comes a lot of shame, guilt and fear. Judgment is a big part of divorce repercussions. Michelle made me feel comfortable the entire time, didn’t judge, was a great listener and made the process as painless as possible. She would be great for anyone looking for loyal & committed representation.

Calm and Personable

Michelle was clear and concise on explaining how my case and hearing should go. She provided me with good preparation so that I would be ready for the hearing. She helped me win my case. I would use Michelle again.

Excellent attorney who takes time to understand what you need

Michelle represented me in my divorce and child custody. In our first meeting, I stated where I was at and she told me I wasn't ready to start the divorce process yet. That was an approach none of the other attorneys I talked to had taken, they just wanted their retainer. I had a long drawn out ca...se with many meetings. Michelle made sure to keep my expectations real during the proceedings as your emotions are all over the place and she made sure I understood what the realities where for my circumstances. She saw my case through to completion, which took over a year. She made all appointments, with me, the other attorney, the mediators (which where located a ways a way), and the court. I would recommend Michelle due to her attention to detail and ability to keep you grounded in reality about your case while understanding what you're looking to accomplish.

So Dissapointed!

I trusted Mrs. Brunt to represent me in my divorce that was quickly going south. Her lack of preparation caused me to lose my harassment protection order when I hired her to represent me for that matter as well. She was late to court, failed to prepare me with any questions, had nothing ready at t...he time of the hearing and withdrew my key evidence (harassing text messages from spouse) which I found out while sitting on the stand at about the same time my husbands attorney did. As we walked into the courtroom her only advise to me was to muster a few tears while on the stand and when the HRO was dismissed she leaned over to me and said "I was afraid that would happen". I then fired her from representing me on my divorce but she didn't seem to understand so I had to do it twice. The law firm she worked with backed her up so I went else-ware. Last I heard she is no longer employed there but little good that did me. Perhaps I simply don't have a keen grasp of the legal system but I had expected and relied on her to protect and properly represent me. Hopefully this is an isolated incident and others will have better experiences
