I liked Michelle from the first moment. She came as a reference from a very high-end divorce attorney in Saint Paul. I was leery at first, as I had had a difficult experience with a mediator that didn’t listen, didn’t care and was willing to accommodate my ex-husband‘s requests more than mine. Along with divorce comes a lot of shame, guilt and fear. Judgment is a big part of divorce repercussions. Michelle made me feel comfortable the entire time, didn’t judge, was a great listener and made the process as painless as possible. She would be great for anyone looking for loyal & committed representation.

Excellent attorney who takes time to understand what you need
Michelle represented me in my divorce and child custody. In our first meeting, I stated where I was at and she told me I wasn't ready to start the divorce process yet. That was an approach none of the other attorneys I talked to had taken, they just wanted their retainer. I had a long drawn out case with many meetings. Michelle made sure to keep my expectations real during the proceedings as your emotions are all over the place and she made sure I understood what the realities where for my circumstances. She saw my case through to completion, which took over a year. She made all appointments, with me, the other attorney, the mediators (which where located a ways a way), and the court. I would recommend Michelle due to her attention to detail and ability to keep you grounded in reality about your case while understanding what you're looking to accomplish.

Divorce
Michelle help me focus on the reality and facts of my case and not my emotions. In financial negotiations Michelle attention to detail gave me confidence in the outcome.

Finally, a lawyer that ACTUALLY listens to fathers who want to be Dad to their kids!
Ms. Brunt was the only lawyer that actually listened to my concerns regarding my daughter's mothers parenting. I had sought the council of many lawyers that "specialized in fighting for fathers rights", but was always told that I had nothing to base my case off of. Ms. Brunt, not only listened, she built a solid case for changing custody of my daughter from my daughters mother to me. Within a year, I had gone from being a father who visited his daughter to a father with full custody and a daughter that now lives with me full time. I am forever grateful to Ms. Brunt for first, listening to my case and than second, for standing behind me as I fought for my daughter.

Divorce Case
Ms Brunt handled my divorce case over the 18 months. At times it was a difficult case, but she always kept me informed and gave good advice in both the legal matters that were black and white and the other parts of the divorce which were sometimes hard to figure out. I would recommend her highly to other clients.

Dad
I am a father of three lovely children and run a manufacturing operation. My childrens mother was a part time worker and stay at home mom. I received joint P&L custody and a 50/50% parenting time schedule through a long court case. Michelle did a super job and was knowledgeable in regards to fathers rights. Highly recommended.

Child Support/Custody
Michelle provided great counsel when I had to go to court to establish custody and child support for my daughter. It was an intimidating process going into it but she simplified it all and laid out the options and routes to be taken. She made sure my interests and my daughters interests were in focus. I was very pleased by her work and would definitely work with her again.

Thanks Michelle
Michelle worked with me through a difficult divorce, child support, and child custody issues. She was patient and knowledgeable. I felt she treated me not only as a client but someone who cared. The divorce and associated issues were foreign to me but she and her paralegal worked diligently to get me through the process. I have had to contact her on two separate occasions since my divorce which she has provided me a quick response.

When it comes to custody/agreement look for someone who will be detailed in obtaining your goals with your best interest in mind
Got the job done but many details were overlooked which possibly will affect us as the client in the future, misrepresented fees/charges of the firm in the initial consult. Ended up costing us way more then was discussed. She didn't make us feel confident with options and left us wondering who she was representing us or the opposing party which lead to major complications/stress with other party.

So Dissapointed!
I trusted Mrs. Brunt to represent me in my divorce that was quickly going south. Her lack of preparation caused me to lose my harassment protection order when I hired her to represent me for that matter as well. She was late to court, failed to prepare me with any questions, had nothing ready at the time of the hearing and withdrew my key evidence (harassing text messages from spouse) which I found out while sitting on the stand at about the same time my husbands attorney did. As we walked into the courtroom her only advise to me was to muster a few tears while on the stand and when the HRO was dismissed she leaned over to me and said "I was afraid that would happen". I then fired her from representing me on my divorce but she didn't seem to understand so I had to do it twice. The law firm she worked with backed her up so I went else-ware. Last I heard she is no longer employed there but little good that did me. Perhaps I simply don't have a keen grasp of the legal system but I had expected and relied on her to protect and properly represent me. Hopefully this is an isolated incident and others will have better experiences
