Mindy Westbrook Zimmerman

Mindy Zimmerman was born in Spartanburg, SC and received her undergraduate degree from Wofford College in 2001. In 2005, she attained a Masters in Business Administration from Gardner-Webb University and obtained her law degree from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, at Campbell University, in 2006. Shortly after receiving her law degree, she was admitted to the South Carolina Bar on November 13, 2006.

She is married to Don F. Zimmerman.

Mindy has experience dealing with various real estate related matters. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a Realtor in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She has also closed numerous loans for residential, construction, and commercial real property.

Since 2006, Mindy has attained broad experience in many areas of legal practice, including:

While in the Eighth Judicial Circuit Solicitor's Office, Mindy prosecuted cases in Laurens and Newberry County, full time from 2006 until she and Ben Shealy opened their practice, and then part time until 2010. She prosecuted misdemeanors and felonies in both Magistrate and General Sessions Court. For nearly two years, she handled all narcotics offenses in Laurens and Newberry Counties and, in 2008, focused solely on Newberry County, while expanding her experience by handling all types of criminal offenses, including homicides there.

Mindy now focurses almost exclusively on Family Law.  She is a Certified Family Court Mediator, a trained Guardian ad Litem, and an experienced private family court attorney.
