I went to Michelle initially because I liked her reviews i found online and what information she listed on her website regarding the cases she had helped win in the past. I needed a lawyer to explain what rights I had as a Grandparent as my Granddaughters were being withheld from me for months at a ...time and I was concerned about their safety. I needed a lawyer to be firm but also to approach this in a way that didn't alienate family members involved. I learned from my consultation with Michelle that I certainly had rights to have visitation with them and that I could pursue joint legal custody and possibly placement of these Grandchildren if their living situation warranted such action. Michelle gave me the confidence and knowledge to pursue all the above. Every step of the way-(5 months and 3 court appearances) Michelle was on top of the paperwork and petitions we filed. She answered my emails and phone calls promptly and had a wonderful patience with my naive questions and concerns. In the end I not only have shared joint custody with both Granddaughters, I also have placement with one and weekly visitation with the other. This was more than I could have hoped for. This all took place without going to trial, and relationships with the children's parents have remained peacefully intact. I could not have been more pleased with Michelle as my lawyer and with how this whole process has turned out! I highly recommend her for any family law cases, and I am very thankful and grateful for her expertise and her caring personality! She certainly has a winning combination!!

I filed a petition for custody of my child. I went to the first court date without a lawyer, thinking my ex wouldn't have one as well. She showed up with a public defender and I was automatically out of my league. The court was adjourned after I requested representation. Someone referred her to m...e so I set up a consultation. I met with Michelle for a consultation, we discussed the happenings of the custody for my child. The whole consultation was practically seamless and flowed very well. She is a very easy person to talk to and feel comfortable with. She defined clear cut goals for the hearing and case. She made a motion to file an amended petition so I could include absolutely everything about the case in it since no one exactly tells you they only look at what is written in the petition. She definitely knows the ins and outs of the court system, she used that to her utmost capability. We went to one more hearing and still couldn't agree on the exact details of custody, so the judge set up a pre trial conference date and a trial date. We went to the pre trial conference and at that time we were able to iron out all of the details of the custody arrangement before the trial took place. Preceding all of this a few years ago I consulted with a different lawyer and it went all wrong. Left a bad taste in my mouth figuratively speaking. She restored my confidence in lawyers and their ability to navigate the court and case for you. She is beyond worth her weight in gold and I only have her to thank for the way it was handled and executed.
