After having experienced a tumultuous, and expensive custody proceeding that was just a year prior, I found myself dragged back into family court again where I was connected with Ms.Cooke. Going through another mitigation was the last thing I wanted to be involved in, it is an emotional roller coast...er. Finances were also strained. In the end, the matter was able to be resolved by settlement, with a detailed custody arrangement that allows myself and her father the ability to start co-parenting on a schedule that is beneficial for our daughter's well being. If you are in need of an attorney, Michelle is the only call you need to make. I hired her for a custody battle that lasted 6 months and she was absolutely amazing and got me results. I am a very high maintenance person and she had the skills to work with me and never once got annoyed with me and fou...ght for exactly what I asked from start to finish. Before hiring her, I met with a few other attorneys and after talking to her, my gut said to go with her and I am glad I did. She helped me through every step of the nightmare in a very timely matter with nothing but complete professionalism. I explained what I hoped to accomplish and she laid out steps that would have to be done to reach the goal, and also gave me ideas on what to do/not do and they all paid out in the end. If I had a question or when something came up, she would always respond and get back to me within a matter of 24 hours, as papers needed to be filed, she would have copies for me to review in the same time frame and immediately filed. In court, she completely blew my mind, she did not back down if the courts did not see things our way, she remembered everything I told her while having facts to back it up, and knew the law and demanded many times that the court must rule in certain ways. There were a couple court appearances that did not go our way and she then gave me a call to check in to ensure I was handling everything ok and reminded me she will not give up the fight and get me though this. There were also a few times she gave me 'life advice' on other ways to look at things and it may not seem like a lot, but Michelle as a person helped me through the ups and downs of a custody battle. I had pre court appointments with her and some concerns walking into her office, and every time I left her office, I was always relaxed and knew I was in good hands. When everything was all said and done, she got me results and did what was best for me and my son. So, at the end of the day, Michelle is a great attorney and person who I will definitely use again with out second thoughts and I strongly recommend that if you are in need of legal help, she is your first and last call, you will not be disappointed with her!

I went to Michelle initially because I liked her reviews i found online and what information she listed on her website regarding the cases she had helped win in the past. I needed a lawyer to explain what rights I had as a Grandparent as my Granddaughters were being withheld from me for months at a ...time and I was concerned about their safety. I needed a lawyer to be firm but also to approach this in a way that didn't alienate family members involved. I learned from my consultation with Michelle that I certainly had rights to have visitation with them and that I could pursue joint legal custody and possibly placement of these Grandchildren if their living situation warranted such action. In the end I not only have shared joint custody with both Granddaughters, I also have placement with one and weekly visitation with the other. This was more than I could have hoped for. This all took place without going to trial, and relationships with the children's parents have remained peacefully intact.
