I retained the services of Attorney Michelle Cooke back in February 2018. After several consult conversations with Michelle in early January as well as one face-to-face meeting with her, I felt very comfortable and confident with her to retain her services. I divorced nearly 3 years ago and was... laid off at the end of 2017 for the first time in 20 years and needed representation for modification of my support/spousal maintenance during my unemployment. Though the process is fairly cut and dry with regard to modification, I felt as if I wanted representation from an attorney in the event that anything unexpected were to come up in front of a judge. First and foremost, Michelle was very transparent and upfront with all details of my case. Her communication is impeccable! As I mentioned previously, it was fairly cut and dry and my daughter changed her mind during the process which impacted me negatively in terms of joint custody due to her age and her desire to not modify our current arrangement. Michelle was very upfront with me throughout the entire process and I knew all my options and potential outcome based on the fact that much rested in my daughter's lap as to what she desired. This ultimately lead to me withdrawing my custody petition. I would strongly recommend Michelle for any of your Family Court legal representation needs. You will not be disappointed. After having experienced a tumultuous, and expensive custody proceeding that was just a year prior, I found myself dragged back into family court again where I was connected with Ms.Cooke. Going through another mitigation was the last thing I wanted to be involved in, it is an emotional roller coast...er. Finances were also strained. In the end, the matter was able to be resolved by settlement, with a detailed custody arrangement that allows myself and her father the ability to start co-parenting on a schedule that is beneficial for our daughter's well being. Because of her hard work I was beyond pleased with the end result and would not hesitate to use her for any legal services in the future!

I went to Michelle initially because I liked her reviews i found online and what information she listed on her website regarding the cases she had helped win in the past. I needed a lawyer to explain what rights I had as a Grandparent as my Granddaughters were being withheld from me for months at a ...time and I was concerned about their safety. I needed a lawyer to be firm but also to approach this in a way that didn't alienate family members involved.
