We attended a class offered by Pensacola State College on Wills and Trusts. Melanie was the lecturer. We were attending the class because we needed more information on, and learn the differences between, Wills and a Trust. Melanie was more than able to provide all the information we needed so we c...ould make the best decision for ourselves and our family. Once our decision was made to go with a Trust, there was NO doubt we wanted Melanie to by our legal way forward. Once we made contact with her law firm, we were immediately setup with a Pre-Trust Checklist—very user friendly—and an appointment to discuss and finalize the details with her, personally. Within a short period, we were back in her office and complete with the signings, witnessing, and notarizing of the detailed documents. The documents were thorough yet easily understandable. There was an overall feeling of great satisfaction and confidence. We had not only done the right thing for ourselves and our family but we also made the right “verdict” by selecting Melanie and her law firm to represent us and assist us with these major decisions. We have already highly recommended her to individuals we work with and we will continue to do so. Melanie is a person of high integrity, a great work ethic, efficient/effective, professional in the highest degree, and a true legal "wiki-pedia". Excellent +++++

We were sent a worksheet to complete which gave us the ideas of things to consider. Upon completion of worksheet we meet with Attorney Essary and was able to have questions answered and a few revisions to the worksheet. After a few days we were emailed a Trust document for review and comments. Com...ments/changes made we meet again at the office for signing. Best of all we were provide multiple certified copies of a "certificate of trust", we have found these to be very important for opening bank accounts, purchasing of property etc as these are 3 page document vs the 30 page trust document with personnel information that is not the business of any other entities. Attorney Essary was very professional and has a high standard of morals and values.

While having a review done of my financial affairs my advisor recommended that as a single parent I should really have all my legal affairs put in order. I was reluctant because of what I perceived would be a costly and extensive process. However, having a sister who had recently died suddenly, I ...knew I needed to have something in place for my teenage children. After some research, I chose Melanie because of her work with women, especially after divorce. I knew from our initial phone conversation I had chosen the right attorney! And when we met, I was even more impressed with her knowledge and helpfulness. Many decisions regarding HIPA, Durable Power-of-Attorney, health care surrogate, and my Will were considerably easier to make with her professional guidance. She made it so easy by providing much of the initial inquiry paperwork over a secure internet connection. I could easily fill it out at my leisure with easy access to the information that I had at home, without having to drag a pile of papers to the office. A few back and forth communications to clarify some issues and we were set for a review. Melanie was thorough, explaining every area of my Estate Plan and ensuring I was comfortable with every aspect of it. All my documents are now in one place, easy to understand, which gives me the peace of mind knowing if anything did happen it would be my wishes adhered to and my loved ones do not have to make heart wrenching decisions at a difficult time.
