Ghosted

I was randomly assigned to Mr. Kilby through a legal benefit with my employer. He was responsive and very kind and knowledgeable during our phone consultation. But after I gave him his retainer, and once he was working on my case he became increasingly difficult to get a hold of. I would try and che...ck in with him every couple months just to see how things were progressing with very little report back from him. Eventually I realized he had “ghosted” me completely. He did not respond to emails or phone calls. I just found out as of this year he no longer practices in Colorado where I originally hired him. So now I’m in the process of hiring a new lawyer after more than a year of poor communication with Mr.Kilby and an incomplete legal task.

Mr Kilby represented me, he lost my case due to the fact he did not follow the magistrate advice of getting a CFI involved. Leaving the child in a environment with a convicted sex offender, and no running water. Mr Kilby had very poor communication, never provided me a bill summary. The only gain wa...s that visitation got reinstated. Mr Kilby also said he was going to appeal the case, and I never heard from him unless he wanted a payment, at which point I requested a bill summary

Child Custody Case

Matthew helped walk me through a child custody case that involved domestic violence. His advice was easy to understand and he knows the law. He was understanding and supportive during a difficult and emotional time.
